so i really need help with this because i feel like im losing my mind checking the amazon app every ten minutes. my sisters baby shower is coming up in literally two weeks and she really wants this high end baby monitor but its like 200 dollars right now and i know it goes on sale sometimes i just keep missing it by like an hour every single time. i have no idea how people do those automatic alerts thingies like is there an app for that or a website? i am totally new to this so please explain it like im five because tech stuff usually makes my brain hurt lol. i dont really have a budget for a paid service since im already stretching my cash for the gift itself so i need something free if possible.

  • i need it to send a notification to my phone right away so i dont miss it
  • it has to be super easy to set up because i dont understand coding or anything like that
  • i only have about 10 days left to buy it before shipping takes too long to get here to chicago

is there a setting in the amazon app i missed or do i need to download something else entirely? i tried googling it but it talk about browser extensions and camel things and i got so confused. i just want my phone to buzz when the price drops...

Agree that trackers are better, tho unfortunately free versions can be hit or miss. Had issues with notification delays before which is super frustrating on a tight deadline.

  • Set your price alert slightly higher than your goal.
  • Check the shipping dates immediately when you get a ping. If you are into deal hunting, PriceDropCatch is a must-have extension for your Chrome setup.

In my experience, relying on the actual Amazon app is a mistake because their notifications are way too slow. I've tried many tools over the years. Honestly, forget the native settings. They wont help you with a 10-day deadline.

  • Install the Keepa app
  • Search for that baby monitor
  • Set a price threshold It sends a direct push notification to your phone way faster than any email would.

Regarding what #2 said about "In my experience, relying on the actual Amazon..."

  • I am totally with you! I was in the exact same boat last year trying to get a fancy espresso machine for my mom. I was refreshing my screen every hour and it was honestly exhausting. The official app is so slow and I ended up missing a massive discount once because the notification arrived way too late! Quick reply while I have a sec because I love this stuff:
  • Use a dedicated price tracker like CamelCamelCamel. You just paste the Amazon link and set your target price. Its super reliable and sends a ping the second the price drops.
  • Set your alert slightly above the lowest price ever so you get a head start before the item sells out.
  • If you are checking other retailers too, this Sam's Club price tracker is another amazing tool that has saved me tons of money on bulk baby supplies. Its such a rush when that phone finally buzzes and you save fifty bucks! You totally got this and the gift is gonna be a huge hit!
