How do I actually share my Amazon cart with my husband so we can both add stuff and see what is in there before we hit buy? I’ve been using Amazon for literally a decade and I consider myself pretty tech-savvy—I’ve got our Prime Household set up for the shipping benefits and we share the same Kindle library and everything—but for the life of me I cant figure out why our actual shopping carts stay totally separate. We are currently planning this huge housewarming party for our new place here in Austin next month and we have a strict budget of like $800 for everything. Im trying to keep track of a bunch of stuff like a new Ninja air fryer, some weather-resistant outdoor fairy lights for the patio, and a bunch of bulk napkins and plates. The problem is that Ill add something and then hell go and find a different version of the same thing and add it to his cart and we end up with two of everything or we just lose track of what the other person liked. Its so frustrating because I thought the whole point of a Household account was to share the experience but it feels like we’re living in two different digital worlds. I tried looking for a share button in the app but it only lets me send a link to a specific product which is a total pain when you have 20+ items to review. Is there like a browser extension or some hidden setting in the account management page that Im missing? Or maybe a way to turn a List into a cart? I know about Wish Lists but they feel clunky for just regular shopping and I dont want to have to move items one by one. I really just want a unified cart where we can both see the total price and make sure we arent blowing our budget before we pull the trigger on the order on Friday. Surely there has to be a better way than just texting links back and forth all day right...
TIL! Thanks for sharing
Unfortunately, Amazon isolates carts for account security, so Household doesnt sync them. I once double-bought a grill because of this. Are you both on mobile?
