I'm honestly so stressed out trying to build this PC for my brother's birthday next month and I keep missing every single sale on the RTX 3060 its driving me crazy. I swear every time I check the page the price has gone up like fifty bucks or its out of stock and then I see on Reddit that it was cheap two hours ago and I missed it again. My budget is strictly $400 for the card and I just cant afford to keep paying these markups because I waited too long to click buy. I feel like I'm glued to my screen but I still keep losing out and its making me so anxious that I wont have the gift ready in time.
I heard there are ways to get Chrome to just tell me when the price drops but I'm so overwhelmed with all the extensions and half of them look like they're just stealing data or they don't even work right. I tried one yesterday and it just crashed my browser and I had to restart everything which was just great. I just need something reliable that isnt gonna slow down my whole laptop because its already kind of old. How do I actually set up price tracking that actually works and sends me an alert immediately so I dont miss the next drop? I really need to get this ordered by the 15th or it wont get here in time for the party...
Unfortunately, most extensions I've tested were disappointing and just slowed my machine down. I had issues with alert lag too. 1. Use this tool for price alerts to avoid local browser crashes.
I've been building PCs for a long time and honestly the price swings for GPUs are just brutal right now. I totally get the anxiety over privacy too... so many extensions out there are basically spyware or just bloat your system. In my experience, the key is keeping it simple and sticking to tools that dont hog resources. If youre trying to stay under $400 for that RTX 3060, here is my methodical approach:
TL;DR: Check permissions first to avoid another crash. Are you tracking specific stores or a broader search? Do you need mobile alerts or just desktop popups to act fast?
