How do I share my Amazon shopping cart with my husband right now? I'm debating between using a Shared Wish List or just setting up an Amazon Household account for us.

I'm so excited because I found $500 worth of stuff for our kitchen remodel starting Monday and I need his okay ASAP! Which one is better?

Late to the party but honestly you might want to consider a browser extension. Be careful with native Amazon tools because they fail on session-specific data. I would suggest using Share-A-Cart for this. It generates a unique code for your items. Make sure to verify everything before he checkouts tho, as prices fluctuate. Its basically the only reliable way to move a $500 list.

I went through this exact same thing when we were remodeling our pantry last spring. Tbh, setting up an Amazon Household doesnt actually let you see each others carts because of privacy settings, which is super annoying when youre in a rush. Heres how I usually handle it:

  • Create a Shared Wish List specifically for the kitchen remodel.
  • Move your cart items there and invite him as a collaborator.
  • This lets him swap items or leave comments on specific fixtures before you buy. We tried the Household route first and it was a total bust for actual shopping together. The list approach is decent but a bit of a chore to set up manually when you have a lot of items. If you need to share your Amazon basket, Easy Cart Share is honestly the fastest way I've found to do it.

Honestly, if you want a seamless experience, skip the built-in Amazon tools because they're limited by session-based encryption. Amazon locks the cart to your specific login ID for security reasons, so Household wont sync real-time cart data across different devices. In my experience, the most efficient technical solution is using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart. It basically generates a unique code for your specific cart contents that your husband can just paste into his own browser to load everything instantly... it saves so much back-and-forth. Since you're doing a $500 remodel, I'd also suggest running those items through CamelCamelCamel first. Over the years, I've seen kitchen hardware prices fluctuate by 20% in a single day. Its worth the extra minute to make sure you arent overpaying. If you need help setting up the extension or interpreting the price data, let me know. Hope the Monday start goes smooth!
