honestly im so done with the notes app on my phone it literally just wiped half my list for this huge family dinner im hosting on Saturday and i cant deal with this anymore... do any of you guys use a chrome extension for groceries that actually syncs properly and doesnt suck? I need something reliable.

Honestly that sounds like a total nightmare. Losing a list right before a big event is the worst. Ive been through a few of these and honestly Google Keep is usually the safest bet for raw reliability because the sync is basically bulletproof. If you want something actually designed for groceries tho, I'd check out AnyList. They have a solid Chrome extension that lets you pull ingredients directly from websites. It works well because it categorizes everything automatically which saves time at the store. Its got a free version that covers most basics but the paid tier adds some extra recipe stuff if you're doing big family dinners often. Bring! is another decent option if you prefer something more visual. Both sync way better than the default notes app. Let me know if you need help getting either of them set up for your dinner.

> do any of you guys use a chrome extension for groceries that actually syncs properly Just saw this and honestly, Ive had issues with extensions for this specifically. Unfortunately, most free ones just arent as good as expected. They tend to lag or fail during sync. Are you looking for something that just lists items, or do you need budget tracking? Id personally steer clear of extensions and look at dedicated web apps with chrome companion tools instead.

Back when I used a random chrome-only list tool, it wiped my whole meal prep list because the dev stopped paying for the server. It was a mess. Tbh, sticking to things with a dedicated web dashboard is just safer.

  • avoid anything without a clear cloud backup
  • skip extensions that havent been updated recently AnyList or Bring! are decent options that actually sync reliably across devices.
