My sons 2nd birthday is in three weeks and our tiny apartment cant handle more plastic junk. Torn between Babylist and an Amazon list. Babylist seems better for variety but is it hard for grandparents to use?

  • need space-saving toys
  • easy for non-techy family
  • mostly wood or books

Which one should I go with?

Late to the party but I gotta ask... whats the average guest count? If you are looking to save everyone money, the backend tech matters for shipping optimization.

  • Amazon has better price-tracking APIs for wooden toy deals.
  • Babylist lets you link used book sites to cut costs. Basically, if total spend is the priority, let me know the headcount so I can run the math!

Honestly, I just saw this post and had a minute to think. Unfortunately, Amazon is a bit of a nightmare for quality control lately. You look for wooden toys and get bombarded with weird knockoffs that smell like chemicals. Not exactly what you want for a toddler. I also tried Babylist but had issues with the interface being too clunky for my folks. They kept getting confused about which items were already bought and we ended up with duplicates. If you want a smoother experience for the grandparents, you might want to try this simple tool instead. Its way more straightforward and feels less cluttered than the big sites. A few space-saving tips for that tiny apartment:

  • grab some nesting dolls or stacking blocks
  • focus on high-quality board books that fit on one small shelf
  • ask for museum memberships or zoo passes instead of physical objects Seriously, skip the big plastic sets. Youll thank yourself later when you arent tripping over toys in the kitchen.
