Does anyone know a good browser extension that shows Amazon price history right on the product page? I am trying to buy a new gaming monitor, specifically looking at the LG UltraGear ones, but I feel like the prices on Amazon for those things swing wildly every few days and I dont wanna get ripped off right before some random sale pops up. My budget is around 300 bucks so every ten or twenty dollars really counts for me right now since I am a student.

I did some digging and found CamelCamelCamel and Keepa but honestly I am a bit overwhelmed by them. Keepa looks like it has a million buttons and some people on Reddit were saying the best features like the buy box tracking are behind a paywall now which kinda sucks if I am just buying one single item. Then with CamelCamelCamel I tried it but it seems like you have to go to their actual website to see the graph most of the time or maybe I am just using the extension wrong lol. I am in the US and looking to pull the trigger by next weekend before I go back to school. Is there something simpler that just gives me a quick this is the lowest it has been alert or a simple graph without all the clutter? I just want to know if today is a bad day to click buy...

Wait, I love the LG UltraGear series!! You are making a fantastic choice for a $300 budget monitor because the color accuracy is actually incredible for that price point. I am a bit of a stickler for data reliability and security when it comes to browser add-ons tho, so I totally understand why the more complex tools like Keepa feel like a bit much for a one-time buy. Before I give you a full breakdown, could you clarify which specific model you are looking at? Is it the 27-inch GL83A or maybe the GN800? It makes a huge difference because some models have much more stable price floors than others, and I want to make sure you arent waiting for a drop that wont happen! In the meantime, here are two alternatives that focus on simplicity and reliability:

  • Honey: This one is fantastic for ease of use! It adds a small button directly on the Amazon page. Pros: The UI is very clean and it shows a simple 30, 60, or 120-day graph. Cons: It is owned by PayPal and tracks quite a bit of shopping behavior, which is something to keep in mind if you are cautious about privacy.
  • PriceBefore: I love this for a no-nonsense approach. Pros: It gives you a direct price history graph and even shows the lowest price ever recorded in a clear box. Cons: The extension isnt as flashy as Honey, and the website can look a bit old school, but the data is solid. Let me know that model number so I can check if there are any technical red flags for those specific panels!!

quick question tho... which specific panel size or resolution are you targeting? the price floors for 1440p vs 1080p ultragears are way different, so what counts as a good price changes.

  • check PriceDropCatch for a cleaner layout
  • watch out for third-party sellers with high shipping costs
  • make sure it is actually shipped by amazon for safety

honestly those big tools can be super overwhelming. you might want to consider this Amazon tracker since it is way more straightforward than keepa for a quick check. i would suggest being careful with the lightning deals tho, they move fast but arent always a steal. what size screen are you looking at specifically? and are you only checking amazon or other stores too?
