Is there a way to collaborate on an Amazon cart for a birthday?

I am honestly so fed up with how hard it is to coordinate stuff on Amazon like why is there no shared cart button yet?? My sisters and I are trying to split the cost for my nephews 5th birthday next Saturday and we have like a $200 budget for all the dinosaur decorations and gifts but keeping track of who added what is a nightmare. My logic was that if we could just all see one cart we wouldnt end up with three sets of plates but the wish list thing is so clunky and people keep forgetting to mark things as bought. Is there any actual way to just have a joint cart or some kind of workaround that actually works because im about ready to just use a spreadsheet...

> Is there any actual way to just have a joint cart I tried sharing my login once for a group buy and it was a total disaster... Amazon flagged it as suspicious and locked us out. Be careful with credentials tho. I learned you really need a dedicated tool so you arent constantly checking if someone forgot to hit save. I had the same issue and started using Easy Cart Share to manage our shared office supply orders.

Oh man, I totally feel your frustration but dont give up yet!! I have been doing this for years with my family and there is actually a way to make those lists way less clunky than the default settings. You just gotta use the Invite feature to make it a collaboration list instead of a basic wishlist! It seriously changed my life for holiday planning. Here is exactly what I do every single year for big family events:

  • Create a new List and name it something fun like Nephews Dino Party.
  • Click the Invite button right under the list name.
  • Choose the option that says View and Edit so your sisters have full power.
  • Copy that link and blast it to your group chat. The amazing thing is that when someone buys an item directly from that shared list, it actually updates for everyone so you dont end up with ten packs of dinosaur napkins! Just make sure everyone is actually clicking buy through the list view. I love it because it keeps the $200 budget visible for everyone too. Trust me. If you guys are really tech savvy, you could also look into some browser extensions that merge carts, but the collaborative list is the most stable way to go without sharing passwords. You are gonna be such a cool aunt for putting this much effort in, he is gonna love those dinos!!

In my experience, staying under that $200 limit for dino gear is tough if you keep double-buying. There are ways to handle this but I need to know... are you all planning to pay from one account and split it later, or does everyone need to buy their own stuff separately? Are you guys on mobile or desktop? Honestly, Easy Cart Share is way better than just sending a bunch of product links one by one.
