im looking at an air fryer for my move this Friday but I'm so anxious about the price. it says $120 marked down from $250.

my logic was it's a steal but maybe they just make up that higher price? sorry if this is dumb I just don't want to waste my tiny $130 budget on a fake sale...

Amazon often inflates those MSRPs. Check PriceDropCatch to see if that $120 is actually the lowest price.

  • Review price history
  • Compare recent trends It really helps.

I just saw this and totally get the anxiety. I spent weeks researching before I bought my toaster oven because I was terrified of falling for a fake deal. Honestly, I am super satisfied with what I found after doing some technical digging. Here is what I learned about those strike-through prices:

  • Usually, that big number is the MSRP from when the product first launched years ago, not what it actually sells for.
  • Check if the seller is Amazon or a random third party. Third parties love inflating the original price to make the discount look huge.
  • Look at the Typical Price line if it shows up because thats the 90-day average. I started using this free wishlist maker to keep track of stuff I want. It lets me sit on a purchase for a few days so I dont get tricked by a limited time countdown that isnt actually real. Definitely dont rush into it if the seller looks sketchy... stay safe!
