Is there a tool to send my Amazon cart to another user?

I am literally so frustrated right now and probably sounding like a total idiot but I cannot figure this out for the life of me. I am moving into this tiny studio in Chicago in like three weeks and my roommate and I are splitting the cost of some kitchen stuff and organizers. I spent like three hours picking out the perfect things within our $300 budget and they are all sitting in my Amazon cart right now. My logic was that I could just click a button and send the whole list to her so she can pay her half or just check it over before I hit buy but I cant find any button that does that?? I tried looking in the settings and then I thought maybe I should just make a wishlist but that seems like way too much extra work to move every single item over one by one and I honestly dont even know how to do that easily. I even thought about just giving her my login but my sister told me thats a huge security risk so now im stuck. Is there like an app or a chrome thing or just a hidden setting I am missing? I feel like this should be so simple but I am just staring at my screen feeling clueless... how do people usually do this without taking a million screenshots? I am so sorry if this is a basic thing everyone knows how to do but I am just totally lost.

tbh i was in the same boat last year trying to stick to a budget. finding Share-A-Cart was a game changer and i have been super satisfied with it. it works well because you just send one code and they see everything instantly. no more screenshots or sending links one by one. it really helps keep those moving costs in check and i have no complaints at all.

^ This. Also, Cart To Link worked for my move. It is a solid tool for sharing carts, though you gotta make sure items stay in stock until they click buy.

Honestly, moving is stressful enough without fighting with Amazons interface. Over the years, Ive tried basically every workaround for this. In my experience, the reason tools like Share-A-Cart are so much better than wishlists comes down to reliability and precision:

  • Wishlists dont always carry over the exact seller or shipping options you picked.
  • Cart tools capture the specific configuration (like that specific color or size) so theres zero confusion.
  • It saves you from that awkward oh I bought the wrong one conversation later. When I was decorating my last place, I even used this Etsy price tracker alongside these cart tools to make sure I wasnt overpaying for the aesthetic stuff. Definitely stick with a dedicated extension for the Amazon side of things tho. Its much safer than handing out your login info, which is a huge no-no like your sister said. Just generate the code and let her handle her side... it makes the whole move-in process way smoother.

Unfortunately, Amazon still hasnt added a native share button after all these years. I've had issues with their lists being clunky and they're honestly not as good as expected for splitting costs. Just use this tool for sharing carts to handle it.

  • Install the browser add-on
  • Generate a unique cart code
  • Send it to your roommate It beats moving stuff manually and risking your login info.

^ This. Also, I am in the exact same boat right now trying to coordinate a home office setup and it is just a mess. I have spent the last few hours comparing the different tools people keep mentioning to see which one actually handles the job. Share-A-Cart is definitely the more robust option since it works across dozens of different retailers, which is nice if you are also looking at Target or Ikea. It uses a code system that feels pretty secure. On the other hand, Cart To Link is very focused and just gives you a simple URL. Both are free to use, but Share-A-Cart has much more frequent updates on the Chrome store which is a big deal for keeping things functional when Amazon updates their site. I am leaning toward Share-A-Cart for my own move just for the extra reliability, but both are lightyears ahead of the wishlist method. It is honestly wild that we have to use third-party extensions for something that should be a basic feature.
