What should I actually put on my 21st birthday list because my parents keep bugging me and I cant decide between a few big things?
Im stuck between getting a Prada Re-Edition bag or a Cartier Love ring and Im so frustrated trying to pick. My budget is $2,500 max and since I live in NYC I feel like Id use the bag every day but then the ring is something I keep forever.
I also looked at a David Yurman bracelet but maybe thats too basic for a 21st? My birthdays in three weeks so they need to order soon and I just dont know. Is the Prada bag worth it or is it gonna look dated soon?

Late here, but in my experience gold is the better investment. I used a birthday wishlist maker to compare.
- Cartier: 18k gold
- Prada: nylon The ring lasts forever.

ngl, i've seen so many people drop thousands on trendy bags just to see them go out of style in two seasons. in my experience, jewelry is always the safer bet for a milestone like a 21st. prada nylon is cool right now but it wont last forever and the wear and tear in nyc is no joke. honestly, you want something that survives the subway and daily life. here is why i think you should stick to the classics:
- the cartier love ring is basically indestructible and you'll literally never take it off.
- gold holds value way better than fabric or leather ever will.
- yurman is fine but cartier feels much more like a core memory piece. go for the ring. i've tried many luxury items over the years and the stuff that lasts is always the solid gold. you wont be worried about it looking dated when youre 30, whereas that bag will probably be in a thrift shop by then.
