Seriously what is the absolute best browser extension for tracking Amazon price drops right now because I am honestly losing my mind? I have been using CamelCamelCamel for forever but the notifications have been so laggy lately and I am just fed up with it. I totally missed out on a deal for a new Sony camera lens - the 24-70mm GM II - just yesterday by like ten minutes because the email alert came through way too late and by the time I clicked it the price was already back up to two grand. I am on a super tight budget for this wedding gig I have coming up in two weeks and I really need to catch the next dip before my deadline hits. I tried Keepa too but the interface is just so cluttered and confusing with all those graphs everywhere and I feel like I am gonna mess up the settings and miss another drop. Is there anything that actually works in real time without a massive delay? Like something that pings your browser or phone immediately? I am literally sitting here refreshing the page every few minutes because I dont trust these extensions anymore and it is making me so anxious. Does anyone use Honey for this or is that just for coupons... let me know what you guys use.

Jumping in... unfortunately Honey is pretty useless for fast tracking since it is mostly for coupons. I have had issues with their price alerts being even slower than Camel. If you need that lens fast, look at these:

  • Distill (it runs locally on your PC so it is more reliable)
  • Glass It Check out PricePulse for cleaner mobile alerts. Distill is honestly the only way to get real-time pings without a massive delay tho.

Honestly, I have been using Keepa for years and it works well for me every time. I am super satisfied with how fast the pings are compared to Camel. The UI is a bit much but you get used to it. If you want speed for that lens, Keepa is the way to go. No complaints here, it has saved me thousands.

Late to the party but I've been through this exact nightmare when I was hunting for a 70-200mm last year. In my experience, Capital One Shopping actually sent me a browser ping way faster than the others during a flash sale. It saved me like 300 bucks right before a big shoot. Just make sure the push notifications are toggled on in your browser settings or youll miss it anyway... basically that lens is worth the stress tho.
