I am seriously losing my mind trying to coordinate this kitchen refresh with my husband. We have about $600 to spend and need everything ordered by Tuesday to stay on schedule but I cant figure out the best way to let him see the cart. Im stuck between these two crappy options:

  • Texting him individual links (I have 15 items so this is a hard no)
  • Sharing my login info (hes terrible with passwords and the 2FA codes never go to his phone)

Is there like an app or a hidden button I am missing? I just want him to approve the colors before I hit buy... it shouldnt be this difficult.

I would suggest you be careful about sharing passwords for security. Try this tool for sharing carts instead, its way safer and worked great for me recently.

Quickly, do you both have Prime accounts? I have been satisfied with these:

  • Wishlists: Easy but static.
  • Household: Integrated but complex. I find Cart To Link works best for sharing finds tho.

Oh man, I totally feel your pain with the kitchen refresh! My partner and I just finished our guest bath and honestly, the back-and-forth about faucet finishes nearly ended us lol. We tried the whole sending screenshots thing at first and it was a total disaster because the lighting in the photos was always off. I ended up finding Share-A-Cart after trying a bunch of different extensions and it is seriously a game changer compared to the native Amazon Household mess. Before I get too excited though, I gotta ask:

  • are you guys mostly doing this on your phones or from a laptop?
  • do you need him to be able to actually swap items out of the cart himself, or is he just giving a thumbs up on the colors? Knowing that makes a huge difference because some tools are way better for editing together while others are basically just for viewing. Ngl the 2FA thing sounds like a nightmare so we definitely want to avoid that!

Re: "Quickly, do you both have Prime accounts? I..." - honestly think Household is overkill. Not sure, but I think this website lets you share carts way faster without any 2FA headache.

@Reply #3 - good point! honestly i was so disappointed when i first tried using amazons native sharing features. household is such a letdown and usually just triggers more 2FA headaches for everyone involved. i even had issues with the wishlist method because it doesnt always show the right shipping times or current deals for the other person. since you are on a deadline for this kitchen stuff i would just use Share-A-Cart. its a chrome extension and basically lets you bundle everything into one link. i use it for my orders all the time because it actually stays reliable unlike the built-in stuff. he just clicks the link and it fills his cart exactly like yours so he can check the colors before you pull the trigger. super simple and way less stressful than trying to fix his login issues again lol.
