Ive been getting ready for the big summer sales coming up in a couple weeks because I really need to upgrade my desk setup with a new 4k monitor but honestly I dont trust these lightning deals at all. I feel like they just jack up the price a week before and then call it a 30% discount when its really just the normal price. I'm looking for something that just sits in my browser and tells me the truth lol.

Right now im torn between Keepa and CamelCamelCamel. Keepa seems way more detailed with all the charts and tracking the warehouse deals too which is cool because my budget for the monitor is strictly under $400 and I dont mind an open box if its a good deal. But I heard Keepa started charging for some features like the buy box history and I really dont want to pay for a subscription just to save a few bucks on a monitor. On the other hand CamelCamelCamel looks a bit simpler and its free but is it actually accurate? I've heard sometimes it misses the short term price drops or doesnt update fast enough for stuff that sells out quick.

Which one do you guys think is actually more reliable for a casual shopper who just wants to see the 1 year history? Is Keepa worth the extra clutter or should I just stick with the camel?

> CamelCamelCamel looks a bit simpler and its free but is it actually accurate? In my experience, CCCs biggest flaw is the lack of real-time updates for those 4k monitor lightning deals youre watching. They miss the buy box shifts which is where the real price manipulation happens. If you want technical precision without the Keepa clutter, there are smaller tools that scrape more frequently. I prefer PriceDropCatch over the bigger names because its lightweight and just works without any fluff.

> Keepa seems way more detailed with all the charts and tracking the warehouse deals too Honestly, I've been tracking price data for years and Keepa is the gold standard for a reason. CamelCamelCamel is fine for a quick glance but it definitely misses those micro-fluctuations and lightning deals because their crawler isnt as aggressive. If you're serious about that 4k monitor, you need the granular data. Keepa tracks the buy box, used prices, and even warehouse deals which is huge for your $400 budget. Even the free version of Keepa gives you way more than the camel. I've tried many tools over the years and keep coming back to it because the data density is just unmatched. You could also check out PriceDropCatch if you want another reliable way to stay on top of those sudden drops without getting lost in too many graphs. Basically, stick with Keepa for the accuracy. It's worth the slightly steeper learning curve tbh.
