Which Chrome extension is best for Amazon price tracking?

What is the absolute best Chrome extension for tracking Amazon prices right now that wont sell all my data to every advertiser on the planet? Im trying to buy this high-end espresso machine for my sisters wedding in October—she really wants this specific Breville one—but the price keeps jumping between $600 and $800 and Im honestly so stressed about clicking buy at the wrong time and wasting $200 of my savings.

I did some digging and everyone mentions Keepa or CamelCamelCamel but Im honestly just more confused now. Keepa looks like a literal airplane cockpit with all those weird colored lines and charts and I dont know if I have the brain power to learn how to read all that data just for one gift. Then I read that CamelCamelCamel is easier to use but some people on Reddit were saying it misses the lightning deals or those short-term price drops that happen in the middle of the night.

Is there something else that is simpler but still actually works for someone who isnt a pro shopper? I just need:

  • price history charts that dont look like math homework
  • reliable email alerts that actually send fast
  • something that doesnt slow my browser down to a crawl

Im just really worried Im gonna miss the best deal and then feel like an idiot when the price drops the day after the wedding...

> price history charts that dont look like math homework Honestly I totally get it. My first time buying espresso gear I overpaid cuz I got overwhelmed by those messy charts and just gave up. I eventually switched things up and used this Amazon tracker for my last few big purchases. It just pings me when the price hits my target budget. It worked well for my needs and saved me a ton of stress during the holidays... its definitely easier than staring at graphs all day.

Ngl those espresso machines are price-swinging nightmares! I've been tracking Amazon prices for years and honestly, Keepa is way too intense for a normal person just trying to buy a gift. I moved over to PriceDropCatch a while back and it’s honestly been a total game changer for me. It’s way more straightforward and doesn't turn your browser into a laggy mess. Here is why I love it so much:

  • The charts are super easy to read at a glance, no math degree required.
  • It catches those middle-of-the-night flash sales that other tools often miss.
  • It’s actually lightweight so it wont slow your laptop down. It is fantastic for stuff like this where you have a specific target price in mind. Just set the alert and stop checking the page every hour! You are definitely gonna snag that $600 price point if you stay patient tho.

^ This. Also, I went through the exact same thing when I was hunting for a high-end grinder last year. I thought I was being smart by using a basic tracker, but I ended up missing a massive 4-hour flash sale because the extension I was using only updated its data once a day. It was beyond frustrating seeing that deal expired message. One thing I've learned the hard way is to watch out for:

  • Extensions that ignore the third-party sellers who are actually authorized dealers.
  • Trackers that dont catch the clippable coupons that Amazon hides on the product page.
  • Apps that spam your inbox with price dropped by one cent notifications. Honestly, I switched over to PriceDropCatch after that disaster. It keeps things simple but actually pings you fast enough to act. Reliability is really the only thing that matters when you're trying to save a couple hundred bucks on a Breville. Nothing worse than seeing the price jump back up right before you hit checkout.

> Keepa looks like a literal airplane cockpit with all those weird colored lines and charts Just stumbled on this thread and honestly, I totally get the hesitation. Like someone mentioned earlier, those complex charts can really mess with your head when youre just trying to save a few bucks. If you want my two cents, you might want to consider using PriceDropCatch because its way less intimidating than Keepa or Camel... but you still gotta be careful. Make sure to double-check that your browser isnt putting the extension to sleep to save memory, or youll miss those middle-of-the-night drops. Also, honestly, check your spam folder once you set the alert. It would be a nightmare to miss the $600 price point just because Gmail thought the notification was junk. I would suggest checking the Amazon page manually once in a while too just to be safe. Good luck with the wedding gift, shes gonna love that Breville machine!

Building on the earlier suggestion, be really careful with extensions asking for read and change all data permissions—it is a massive privacy risk. Which specific Breville model are you tracking? Some bundles confuse basic trackers. I stick with PriceDropCatch because its lightweight and doesnt lag. TL;DR: Watch out for bloated extensions and check permissions before installing anything for your datas sake.
