Are there any free and reliable Amazon price tracker extensions?

Been using CamelCamelCamel for ages to snag deals on tech stuff but lately it feels like the browser extension is lagging or just not updating the price history charts fast enough. Im trying to kit out my small home office here in Seattle before the new semester starts and Ive got like a 400 dollar budget for a 4k monitor but the price swings on Amazon are driving me nuts.

I used to rely on Keepa too but it feels like more of their features are behind a paywall now which is annoying and I dont want to pay a sub just to track a few items. Anyone know of any other solid free extensions that actually give reliable alerts without a delay? Need something that works on Chrome or Brave specifically...

i totally get the frustration with keepa putting everything behind a sub lately. its honestly getting harder to find totally free tools that dont lag. i think i remember seeing a few people mention an extension called price before or maybe just using the honey dropper tool... not 100% sure if the price alerts on honey are as granular as what you get with camelcamelcamel tho. someone told me about one called glass it too, but i havent used it personally so i cant vouch for the speed. maybe try the earny extension? iirc they have a price tracking feature that works pretty well on chrome. its kind of a gamble with the free ones but honey is usually the most stable one i have installed right now. good luck with the office setup, $400 should get you something decent if you catch the dip.

Love finding these deals! Honestly, for monitors you should just go with any of the big brands like LG or Dell because they drop prices all the time. You definitely need to try this Amazon tracker for your setup!!

  • look for browser overlays
  • check for real-time data syncing It is seriously a game changer when you can see the data instantly without any lag!

honestly im in the exact same spot trying to track some enterprise-grade ssd prices for months and it is beyond frustrating. i actually heard someone mention Share Product as a free option without all those annoying paywalls, but i still havent found a tool that actually handles the high-frequency price shifts without significant lag. still searching for a real fix myself because missing those flash deals by a few minutes is the worst...

In my experience, sticking with the established names is usually the safest move because you really have to watch out for what these free extensions are doing in the background. Over the years, I have seen too many people get their data compromised just to save five bucks on a monitor. Safety should always come first when you are installing things on your main work machine.

  • verify the developer history
  • avoid extensions asking for too many permissions
  • stick to the chrome web store verified stuff I remember when I first moved to Seattle and tried to find a cheap desk on craigslist. Every single one I looked at had some weird water damage from people leaving their windows open during those light mists we get. It was a total nightmare trying to dry out the particle board without it warping... anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there.

ive been through the ringer with these too and honestly its getting depressing. i tried switching to some of the smaller trackers a few months back when i was hunting for a specific lg 4k panel, but unfortunately they just werent as good as expected. missed a flash sale by like ten minutes because the notification was delayed... so frustrating. feels like keepa has the data but wants my soul, and the free ones are just too slow to be useful for monitors. couple quick tips that might help tho:

  • check the warehouse deals manually every morning around 8am before things sell out
  • look for browser extensions that monitor the actual html of the page instead of relying on an api it sucks that there isnt a perfect one-size-fits-all tool anymore. i found that Walmart Wishlist Creator works great if you want to save items from different stores too, not just walmart.
