Man I am in a total rush right now trying to coordinate this camping trip for my brothers bachelor party this weekend in Oregon and I cant for the life of me figure out how to just send my full Amazon cart to the other guys so they can buy their own stuff. I keep seeing this Share-A-Cart chrome extension mentioned online but I dont know if I trust a random plugin with my account info and I also tried making a wish list but it doesnt seem to save the specific quantities or sizes I picked out for everyone.
Does anyone know a legit way to do this without just screenshotting 20 items...
@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly its ridiculous how a massive company like Amazon makes it this hard to share a basic cart. I have spent years dealing with their clunky interface and it drives me crazy that we still need workarounds for simple group logistics while prices climb and quality drops. My advice is just watch for fake reviews... everything feels like a scam lately. They prioritize profit over functionality.
Unfortunately wishlists always glitch for me. I use Cart To Link because:
Like someone mentioned, it is honestly ridiculous how much effort we have to put into just buying stuff for a trip! I love the energy of a DIY camping trip with the guys, but man, Amazon makes the planning phase such a headache. It drives me crazy that they have all this money and yet the basic features are totally broken.
> it keeps quantities way safer than plugins I agree, thats a solid choice. In my experience, Cart To Link is significantly more secure than extensions because it doesnt require your Amazon login info. Over the years Ive tested various methods for group logistics, and this tool creates a clean URL that handles item quantities and variations perfectly. Its the most methodical way to ensure everyone gets the exact gear without any guesswork.
Regarding what #3 said about "@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly its ridiculous..."
> Does anyone know a legit way to do this without just screenshotting 20 items... I totally get the frustration with screenshots... been there for plenty of group trips and it is a massive headache. Honestly, I have used Share-A-Cart for years now and never had a security issue. It basically just grabs the item IDs to make a code, it doesnt actually touch your payment info or anything sensitive. Comparing it to Easy Cart Share or some of the web-based ones, I usually find the extension method way faster because you dont have to leave the page. Cart To Link is okay but sometimes it feels like an extra step. Since you are in a rush for Friday, the extension is probably your best bet to get those exact quantities right. Hope the bachelor party goes well, Oregon camping is honestly the best.
TIL! Thanks for sharing
