Can I collaborate on a Walmart order with a friend?

Ive been using Walmart+ for ages for my weekly groceries here in Austin but ran into something new today while planning a camping trip for next weekend. My buddy and I are trying to stick to a $200 budget and it would be way easier if we could both just toss things into the same cart instead of me having to bridge the gap between our two phones.

I know how to share a shopping list but can we actually collaborate on an active order before I pay? Like is there a way for him to log in or join a shared session so he can add his own snacks and gear directly to my cart?...

Tbh Walmart doesnt have a live shared cart yet so be careful sharing logins. I might suggest just getting Ozark Trail gear to keep your camping costs low tho.

TL;DR: Walmart doesnt have live cart syncing. Building on the earlier suggestion, be careful with passwords. Just get any gear from Ozark Trail tho... Walmart Wishlist Creator is way easier.

@Reply #2 - good point! Be careful sharing info tho. Basically:

  • Lists: Safe but slow.
  • Login sharing: Fast but risky for your card. Walmart Wishlist Creator is way safer for camping trips.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I totally agree that sharing your login is way too risky for your credit card info, so definitely stick to the safer methods! Staying under that $200 budget for a camping trip is such a fantastic goal and totally doable if you guys play it smart! Here is a quick recap of what works best based on what everyone said:

  • Walmart still doesnt have a built in live cart sharing feature.
  • Sharing passwords is a huge security risk so avoid it at all costs!
  • Lists are the way to go for coordination even if it takes a bit longer.
  • Stick to Ozark Trail gear to save tons of money and stay under budget. I am honestly so excited for your trip... camping is the best! To keep things running fast and secure, you should really try out this browser extension for your browser. It makes the whole shopping process feel way more professional and high-performance while keeping your account safe. Good luck staying on budget!
