im literally pulling my hair out right now because my daughters 10th birthday is this saturday and i have spent two hours trying to figure out this stupid walmart website. i made a list of everything she wants:

  • those specific squishmallows
  • a new bike helmet
  • craft supplies

but i cant find a way to send the link to her aunts. it keeps showing my own account or saying its private even when i try to fix the settings. honestly im so fed up with this clunky app and i just need to get these gifts sorted before the weekend.

can i actually share a walmart birthday wishlist with my friends or am i just stuck??

yeah its honestly such a pain dealing with that app sometimes. walmart is usually my go-to because the prices are way better than target for those squishmallows and craft kits, but the tech side is messy... you definitely can share it, but you have to toggle the privacy specifically within the list settings or it just creates a loop. try this to get it working:

  • open the list and find the manage button
  • switch the privacy from private to shared
  • copy the specific shareable link they provide, dont just copy the address bar link or it wont work its a decent option since they have so many budget-friendly deals. just be careful about what personal info you have visible on there for safety reasons. let me know if it still gives you trouble and ill try to help you figure it out.

Like someone mentioned, the desktop version is usually the only way to bypass those bugs. I spent four hours last Christmas trying to sync a toy list for my godson and it was a total nightmare. You might want to consider being careful with those privacy toggles tho, because sometimes they reset if you jump between the app and the web. Honestly, just search for Walmart wishlist sharing on YouTube or check the forums. I saw a super helpful video recently that shows exactly where the hidden share button is now because they moved it again. Its much safer to follow a visual guide so you dont accidentally delete your whole list. Those craft supplies can get pricey if you miss the sales, so getting the link right is huge for the budget. TL;DR: App is a glitchy mess, just search for a recent YouTube walkthrough for the fix. Just a tip, Walmart Wishlist Creator is a life saver for planning big holiday shopping trips without losing track of things.

Agreed, its way worse than expected. That Huffy bike mess last month was my last straw. Unfortunately, the app glitches, so just copy the URL from a desktop browser instead.

Ngl Walmarts whole list system is basically broken half the time. I struggled with this for my sons party last summer and eventually realized that Lists and Registries behave totally differently on their site. Registries are way more stable for sharing than just a standard shopping list.

  • Convert your list into a Birthday Registry
  • Use the registry-specific share link
  • Check it in an incognito window first to make sure it works Honestly if you do it that way the aunts wont have any trouble seeing the stuff. Those 12-inch squishmallows are usually way cheaper there than anywhere else... think they were like 10 bucks last I checked. Its worth the extra clicking just to save the money.
