im trying to get things ready for my daughters 7th birthday next month and I spent forever on the walmart app making a list of toys and stuff. we live in a pretty rural area so walmart is basically our only option for shopping. i made the list but now im just sitting here staring at it because i cant figure out how to get it to my sisters and my mother in law. i dont want people buying the same barbies twice lol. im really sorry if this is a dumb question but im just so confused by the app layout. is there a way to actually share the birthday list with other people so they can buy from it?
In my experience, the standard Walmart 'List' feature is a total trap for birthdays. Over the years, I've learned that lists don't track what's been bought, which leads to double gifts. You gotta use the 'Registry' feature instead. I also started using a handy tool I found to keep things straight. Just a heads up tho, if you don't toggle it to public, your family will be locked out.
Oh man, I totally feel your pain! Last year for my sons party I was in the exact same boat, just staring at my phone and wondering if I was crazy. I was so worried about getting three of the same Lego sets, it was seriously stressing me out lol. Living out in the sticks makes Walmart basically our lifeline, so I had to figure it out fast! You actually want to make sure you're using the Registry feature instead of just a basic List if you want that tracker that prevents double-buying. If people just look at a list, they wont know what is already gone. Here is exactly what I did to make it work:
