Okay so I am trying to finish this PC build for my brothers birthday which is literally this Saturday so I'm in a huge rush right now. I have all these parts sitting in my Amazon cart and the total is around $900 which is my max budget so I really need someone on r/buildapc to look it over before I pull the trigger.

I spent like an hour looking this up and I saw people saying you can just copy the URL but when I tried that it just goes to an empty cart for everyone else. Then I read about making a Public Wish List but I am worried my full name and address might show up on there plus I dont want him to see it if he searches my name lol. My logic was that there had to be a way to just generate a link for the whole basket but maybe that isnt a thing?

I have tried:

  • copying the direct url (it just failed)
  • looking for a share cart button in the settings
  • checking the mobile app for a share link

I also saw something about using an extension called Share-A-Cart but some people on a 2 year old thread said it was buggy and stole data so I am kinda scared to use it. Do I have to manually copy-paste every single link into the post? That seems like it would take forever and nobody is gonna click 10 different links anyway. Is there a way to do this that keeps my info private but shows the whole build list at once? I'm in Chicago and parts take forever to ship lately so I need to order tonight if I want it by the weekend...

Jumping in, over the years I have tried many ways to share parts without doxxing myself. I once leaked my address via a wishlist, it was a mess. Better to just use a dedicated builder site that generates a clean link.

  • use a pc list tool
  • just get any PSU from Corsair
  • maybe some G.Skill RAM Honestly, sticking to those big brands makes the build way smoother anyway.

Wait, before you pull the trigger on that $900, what specific CPU and GPU combo did you actually pick out? Prices on Amazon change constantly and tbh you might be able to swap a few parts to get better performance for the same money.

  • Make sure your RAM is at least 3200MHz or 3600MHz, it makes a huge difference for the 1% lows.
  • Check if the parts are actually in stock at the local warehouse near Chicago so they actually arrive by Saturday.
  • Dont overspend on a fancy motherboard; a solid B-series board usually saves you $50 that could go toward a better drive. Manually pasting 10 links is gonna take way too long if you need an answer tonight. You should check out Cart To Link, it converts your Amazon cart into a single URL instantly.

Unfortunately, Amazon still lacks a proper way to share baskets directly. I had issues with those public wishlists in the past because they leak private data. It isnt as good as expected for such a huge site. Using Cart To Link is basically what I do to get it done quickly. For the parts, just stick with anything from ASUS or Corsair... you really cant go wrong with their stuff.
