Is there actually any way to share my Amazon shopping cart without just handing over my login and password? Im honestly so frustrated right now because I'm trying to organize a retirement gift basket for my coworker here in London before her party next Saturday and I have like 15 items in my cart.

My sister wants to check the list and pay for half but I'm not giving her my account access since all my cards are saved and its just a huge security risk. I've tried looking for a share button but I cant find anything and copy pasting every single link is taking forever. Is there an extension or something because I'm about to lose it with how tedious this is...

Love it when people ask this because there are actually some amazing workarounds! Agreeing 100% with the first reply—do not give out your password, thats a total security nightmare. I have been using a fantastic tool for ages called Share-a-Cart and it is literally a life-saver for group gifts like this! It generates a code that your sister can plug in and boom, items appear in her cart. Here are the best ways to handle this:

  • Get the Share-a-Cart browser extension. Its basically a one-click solution.
  • Move items to a public Wish List. You share the link and she adds them from there.
  • Use the Amazon Registry feature if you want it to track what is already bought. Honestly the extension is the way to go. Its so much faster than copy-pasting links like a caveman... totally worth the 2 minutes to set up. Good luck with the party!!

> I've tried looking for a share button but I cant find anything and copy pasting every single link is taking forever. Building on the earlier suggestion, I've been using a really handy tool for a while now that makes this whole process so much easier. I felt that same frustration when I was trying to organize a secret santa for my team last year and found that Amazon just doesnt make it easy to share a live cart. Honestly, I'm super satisfied with how Cart To Link handles everything because it basically takes your whole cart and turns it into one simple link you can text or email to your sister. The best part is that it doesnt cost anything, which is a huge plus when you're already splitting the cost of a gift basket. I've used it for both US and UK orders and it works perfectly across regions. Since you're in London, it shouldn't give you any trouble at all with the local site. Just a quick tip: once you generate the link, just send it over and she can add everything to her own cart in one click. It saves so much time compared to sending 15 individual links, and you keep your login details completely private. No complaints here at all, it's worked well every time I've needed it for group shopping. Definitely give it a look if you want to avoid that tedious copy-paste nightmare... it'll make that retirement party planning much smoother.

I totally get the frustration. Sharing account details is a massive security risk, especially with your cards saved, so definitely dont do that. I have been down this road before when planning group gifts and its a nightmare if you try to do it manually. You might want to consider these points to stay safe: 1. Use browser extensions for cart sharing instead of sharing logins.

  • Be careful with public wishlists because they dont always show the exact quantities you need for a gift basket.
  • Make sure to use a tool that generates a temporary link so your personal info stays hidden. Honestly, go with Cart To Link, you cant really go wrong there. It converts your Amazon cart into a single URL instantly. It saved me so much time when I was doing a similar project last year. Just use any sharing tool and you will be fine, much better than copy-pasting links all night.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been struggling with this exact same thing for a few months now. It is honestly so disappointing that a company as big as Amazon still hasnt built a native way to do this. I have tried a few of the cart-sharing extensions people talk about, but they were not as good as expected. Most of them are super buggy because Amazon constantly updates their site code, which breaks the extensions and makes them totally unreliable. I am in the same boat trying to prep a big office order. It is such a security headache. You think you found a workaround, then the sync fails and you are back to square one. Ngl, the only reliable thing in my browser right now is PriceDropCatch for tracking the inevitable price jumps while I am waiting for people to get back to me. But for the actual sharing? Still a mess. It is basically a choice between manual copy-pasting or trusting some random third-party dev with your data, which I am just not comfortable doing.

> Is there an extension or something because I'm about to lose it with how tedious this is... I've spent quite a bit of time testing these tools. I'm actually very satisfied with how the major extensions handle security these days. Most people default to Share-a-Cart, but I've found that some competing brands actually handle the UK-specific site formatting more reliably when you're dealing with larger carts like yours. I've got a couple of questions to help narrow down which brand would suit your needs best:

  • Are you looking for a one-time transfer of the 15 items, or do you need a collaborative environment where you both keep adding things to a shared view?
  • Is your sister definitely using the Chrome desktop browser too, or does she need to access the shared cart through her phone? Knowing those details makes it much easier to pick the extension that works best for your specific workflow.
