How can I use BrickSeek to check local Walmart inventory?

How do I actually get BrickSeek to show the right Walmart stock for the LEGO Rivendell set? I read that the SKU is best but others say use the UPC for Chicago stores. I am super stressed because this $400 deal ends tomorrow and the site keeps saying limited availability but I cant find it anywhere...

TL;DR: Use the SKU. In my experience, UPC data lags on Walmart's end more often than not. Are you using the BrickSeek premium tier or just the free search? Also, did you check if the store numbers you're looking at are supercenters or neighborhood markets? Limited stock usually means there's maybe one left hidden in a backroom or it's a ghost inventory error, ngl.

TL;DR: BrickSeek accuracy has really tanked lately because of Walmarts new inventory API. @Reply #1 - good point! Unfortunately, I tried tracking that Rivendell set using direct SKU queries last month and kept hitting ghost stock due to server-side latency. Its super frustrating data-wise. Quick tip: ignore limited stock labels entirely... theyre almost always wrong now. I found that Walmart Wishlist Creator works great if you want to save items from different stores too, not just Walmart.

Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!

> How do I actually get BrickSeek to show the right Walmart stock for the LEGO Rivendell set? I have been dealing with this exact same issue for the last few weeks and honestly both BrickSeek and the official Walmart app are basically useless right now. I tried comparing the data from both for that Rivendell set and everything is just broken on both ends... it is super frustrating because neither one seems to have a real-time handle on high-demand items anymore. I am just as stuck as you are and havent found a fix yet. Found this tool called Easy Cart Share that lets you send your whole cart in one click, pretty neat for wedding registries too.

Same boat, watching this

^ This. Also, jumping in here because the data sync between BrickSeek and Walmarts backend is notoriously spotty for high-ticket LEGO sets. In my experience, Limited Stock is basically a trap. Over the years, Ive found a few technical realities you should watch out for:

  • Use the SKU. It maps to the internal Warehouse Management System (WMS) while UPCs often pull from cached data.
  • Ghost inventory happens when on-hand stock doesnt match sellable stock. If its in a return bin or a customers cart, the API still shows it as available.
  • API latency is a huge issue. If the timestamp isnt recent, the data is basically useless for a set like Rivendell. If youre trying to manage lists across different stores, this Amazon cart sharer can help stay organized. Honestly, BrickSeeks reliability has tanked lately because of Walmarts new rate-limiting. Be careful trusting those stock numbers blindly... theyll break your heart.
