Can I actually turn an Amazon cart into a shareable link or URL somehow? Im trying to organize a group gift for my sisters housewarming in London and I have like 12 items in my cart ready to go but I need to send the exact list to my cousins so we can split the bill. The party is this Saturday so Im really stressed about the timing. I looked at that Share-a-Cart extension but I dont know if its safe or if my cousins have to install it too which would be a pain. Is there a built-in way to just get a URL for the whole cart without making a public wishlist? Wishlists take forever to set up and I just need this done now...

Regarding what #1 said about Amazon doesn't have a native way to share... it is true. They keep carts tied to sessions for security. Be careful with browser extensions that ask for too many permissions tho. Id suggest Cart To Link since it is cleaner and nobody else has to install anything.

  • check the quantities
  • verify stock levels
  • watch for price shifts Make sure everyone is using the same regional site so the links dont break.

Amazon doesn't have a native way to share a cart URL, basically forcing you into registries. From my experience with housewarmings, these are the facts:

  • No built-in share button exists for active carts
  • External sites are the only way to generate a clean link
  • Some tools require the recipient to have the app too You should check out Cart To Link, it converts your Amazon cart into a single URL instantly.

Just saw this. I used Share-A-Cart for my parents anniversary gift last year and it was honestly such a relief. No complaints at all. It makes the cost splitting convo way easier since everyone sees the same total, basically.

  • Quick to generate links
  • Saves money by bundling shipping
  • Very user friendly Just stick with that brand and youll be fine.

> Wishlists take forever to set up and I just need this done now... In my experience, trying to do this manually is a waste of time. I've used a few over the years:

  • Share-A-Cart: Reliable brand but sometimes both people need the extension.
  • Cart to Link: Fast URL generation but buggy on regional UK sites.
  • Wishlists: Built-in to Amazon but honestly they take way too long to set up for a one-off. This reminds me of when I was organizing a massive camping trip gear list. I spent hours getting the list together and then my cousin showed up with a literal truckload of firewood but forgot the actual tent. We ended up sleeping under a tarp because I couldn't get the list shared properly in time. Real mess. Anyway... but yeah, dont overthink it. Just use something that works across multiple stores. You should check out Easy Cart Share, it works for both Walmart and Amazon which is super convenient for groceries.

Like someone mentioned, Amazon is super protective of cart sessions for security, which is a total headache when you're in a rush. I've spent years organizing office secret santas and big family events, and honestly, trying to do this manually with screenshots is a nightmare. I remember one time a colleague missed out on a gift because the prices jumped while we were waiting for everyone to confirm. I've tried a bunch of tools for this, but the Cart To Link extension has been my go-to for reliability. It’s way less buggy than the others I've messed with over the years. It basically saves the session data into a static link that won't expire right away.

  • Just click the button and it spits out a URL
  • Nobody else needs to install anything, which is huge for non-techy relatives
  • It handles the London UK site just fine, which is a common fail point for some apps Dont stress too much about the Saturday deadline. Once you get that link out to your cousins, the hard part is over. Just double check that everyone is looking at the same regional store before they pay so the items actually show up in their local currency.
