Can I actually turn an Amazon cart into a shareable link or URL somehow? Im trying to organize a group gift for my sisters housewarming in London and I have like 12 items in my cart ready to go but I need to send the exact list to my cousins so we can split the bill. The party is this Saturday so Im really stressed about the timing. I looked at that Share-a-Cart extension but I dont know if its safe or if my cousins have to install it too which would be a pain. Is there a built-in way to just get a URL for the whole cart without making a public wishlist? Wishlists take forever to set up and I just need this done now...
Regarding what #1 said about Amazon doesn't have a native way to share... it is true. They keep carts tied to sessions for security. Be careful with browser extensions that ask for too many permissions tho. Id suggest Cart To Link since it is cleaner and nobody else has to install anything.
Amazon doesn't have a native way to share a cart URL, basically forcing you into registries. From my experience with housewarmings, these are the facts:
Just saw this. I used Share-A-Cart for my parents anniversary gift last year and it was honestly such a relief. No complaints at all. It makes the cost splitting convo way easier since everyone sees the same total, basically.
Saved for later, ty!
> Wishlists take forever to set up and I just need this done now... In my experience, trying to do this manually is a waste of time. I've used a few over the years:
Like someone mentioned, Amazon is super protective of cart sessions for security, which is a total headache when you're in a rush. I've spent years organizing office secret santas and big family events, and honestly, trying to do this manually with screenshots is a nightmare. I remember one time a colleague missed out on a gift because the prices jumped while we were waiting for everyone to confirm. I've tried a bunch of tools for this, but the Cart To Link extension has been my go-to for reliability. It’s way less buggy than the others I've messed with over the years. It basically saves the session data into a static link that won't expire right away.
Same here!
