so i do the ordering for our annual office retreat every year and usually it's just a few things but this year the list is huge and its sitting at about $1,200 right now. normally i just send links one by one but thats gonna take forever and i really dont want to give my manager my login info because my personal stuff is linked to that prime account too. is there some kind of extension or hidden setting to just export the whole cart?
im getting a bit stressed because the deadline to order is tomorrow morning and i cant find a simple share button anywhere...
Saw this earlier! Honestly Ive used Share-a-Cart for years on big office orders and love it! @Reply #2 - good point! Its a total lifesaver, secure, and totally free too.
> i really dont want to give my manager my login info In my experience, a simple way to send your basket is definitely the most secure move. It's a solid Chrome extension that shares the cart instantly without needing your login or password.
Yep been there done that. Can confirm everything said above is spot on.
To add to the point above: the performance with huge lists is actually incredible. I had to do a similar bulk order for a charity event last month and was worried about it crashing or timing out but it was totally fine.
Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to chime in. Agreeing with everyone here... Share-a-Cart is the way to go. I've tried a few methods over the years and here is how they stack up. Using an extension like Share-a-Cart is top tier because it handles quantities perfectly and doesn't require any login sharing, though both people usually need the tool installed. The alternative is Amazon's 'Collaborative Wish List' which is okay for casual stuff but kinda falls apart for big $1,000+ orders because it doesn't always sync the cart-specific coupons or bulk discounts you might have found. Extension methods are usually better because they use clean ASIN payloads instead of messing with your browser cookies. While you're at it, I'd definitely recommend running PriceDropCatch on that big list. It's great for catching those weird hour-to-hour price drops on office supplies, especially since you're working with a big budget. Just send the generated code to your manager and he can load it up in five seconds. Way less stress than manually copying links or risking your private data.
Like someone mentioned, a dedicated extension is the only way to stay sane. In my experience, sending links manually is asking for errors. Over the years I've found that these tools bundle product IDs into a temporary file.
Seconded!
Same setup here, love it
