What are the actual best free apps or websites for tracking Walmart price drops right now that actually work and wont fail me??
I have been losing sleep over this because I am trying to get this 65 inch TV for my sons birthday next month and the price at the Walmart near me in Columbus is just all over the place it was 480 last week and now it is 530 and I just know it is gonna drop again but I dont want to be refreshing the page every ten minutes while I am at work. I am on a super strict budget of 450 max and I need to buy it by the 15th so it gets here in time for the party. I just want a simple app that will ping my phone the second that price hits my target.
I did some digging online and I am just getting more confused the more I read. I found a couple things but they dont seem right:
Is there something like CamelCamelCamel but specifically for Walmart? I saw something called Capital One Shopping too but I dont have a card with them so I wasnt sure if I could even use it or if it is just another one of those coupon extensions that doesnt actually alert you when a price hits a specific target. Is that too much to ask or am I just looking in the wrong places?? Everything seems so geared towards Amazon these days and it is driving me crazy...
@Reply #1 - good point! Over the years I've found most external trackers lag because Walmart blocks scrapers. In my experience, third-party sites often miss flash sales by hours. I usually stick to native app notifications for high-demand electronics like TVs; they're way more reliable for local store data. Just a tip, Walmart Wishlist Creator is a life saver for planning big holiday shopping trips without losing track of things.
I spent three months hunting a specific Vizio set last year, so I get the frustration. Walmarts dynamic pricing is a total nightmare because it fluctuates based on regional stock data that most trackers miss.
Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.
Building on the earlier suggestion about Walmart blocking scrapers, I have been very satisfied with using the Capital One Shopping extension for my recent tech hauls. You actually do not need a card with them to use the price tracking features, which is a big win. It runs directly in your browser so it tends to bypass those blocks that usually trip up sites like BrickSeek. I have found it very reliable for catching those weird middle-of-the-night price drops. I also recommend having your cart ready to go the moment the alert hits. I usually use Cart To Link to keep my specific TV models and accessories organized in one place, it is way faster than messing around with the actual Walmart wishlist which can be buggy. Honestly, once you have your target price set in the extension, you can just stop checking the site manually. It has worked well for me and saved me a ton of time during my last upgrade. If you stay methodical about it you will definitely hit that 450 mark before the deadline.
