Is there an app that tells you when stuff on Etsy goes on sale? I really need to know because I'm trying to buy these handmade ceramic mugs for my sisters bridal shower in September and my budget is strictly under 200 dollars for the whole set.

I've literally just been refreshing the browser tab like five times a day and I feel like an idiot but I don't know if there's a better way to do it. Im so stressed that the price will drop and I wont see it in time. Does Etsy have a built-in alert thing or is there a separate app I have to download? Sorry if this is a dumb question I just really dont want to miss out...

OMG I totally get the stress! Last year I was obsessed with tracking vintage vases and found amazing ways that work better than refreshing like a crazy person.

  • Etsy App: Super easy to heart items but notifications are hit or miss tbh.
  • Karma: This app is fantastic! It pings you the second a price drops but you have to download an extra app. Honestly use Karma, it's way more reliable for those mugs!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I spent way too much time last year trying to figure out how Etsy handles their pricing data for a big project. It's kinda a mess because sellers change prices manually, and the app doesn't always trigger a notification for every tiny tweak. I would suggest being a bit careful with just relying on hearts. If a seller lowers the base price without starting an official sale, you might miss it. Here is what worked for me:

  • Use a dedicated tracker like PriceDropCatch. I usually keep this running in the background because it monitors the raw price value rather than waiting for a sale flag.
  • Check the shop announcement section. Sellers often hide coupon codes there that wont get sent to your notifications.
  • Be careful with shipping. Sometimes a price drop happens but shipping goes up, so watch the total. Your 200 dollar budget is doable if you catch a 20% off deal. Just keep an eye on the data... you got this.

Honestly, I've been in your shoes and it's so draining. I remember trying to source specific bridesmaid gifts last year and my budget was razor thin, basically like yours. I was constantly checking my phone during lunch breaks and felt like I was losing my mind. What worked for me was actually liking the items and then just leaving them in my cart for a day or two. Sometimes sellers see that you've got an item sitting there and they'll actually send you a discount code directly to your email to nudge you to buy. It's a solid way to save an extra 10 or 15 percent without even waiting for a site-wide sale. Plus, it keeps everything organized so you arent hunting through search history. I'm really happy with how much I saved doing that. I just use PriceDropCatch to monitor my favorites list, it's way easier than checking manually every day.
