I've been managing our office supply orders for years and usually its a breeze but honestly I'm about to lose it with Amazon right now. Trying to get this $2,000 renovation list approved by my boss in Chicago and every share cart tool I try is just breaking.

I tried Share-A-Cart which usually works but it's glitching and won't keep the quantities right which is a nightmare when you're ordering 15 of the same desk chair. I'm on a super tight deadline to get these ordered before the fiscal year ends next Friday and I can't keep re-adding things manually. What's the best Chrome extension for sharing Amazon carts that isn't a total buggy mess?

Building on the earlier suggestion, unfortunately, most scripts basically fail at complex data serialization.

  • Faulty quantity logic
  • Metadata corruption Just use any extension from CartSharing.

Quick question before I dive in though—are you guys using a standard personal account for this or is it a legit Amazon Business setup? It actually makes a massive difference because the way those extensions scrape the page data changes totally depending on the account interface. I learned that the hard way when I was doing my big garage workshop overhaul last year. I had dozens of heavy-duty brackets and power tools in my cart, and the tool I was using seemed fine until it hit the transfer stage. Tbh it was a nightmare. It somehow stripped all the specific quantity settings I had, and I nearly ordered one single bolt instead of a pack of fifty. Total mess and I had to spend hours fixing the manifest manually while my wife was waiting for the final total. If you're going the DIY route with these extensions, you might want to consider being really careful with a few things:

  • make sure you dont have any other coupon or shopping extensions active because they often fight for control of the cart data
  • check if your boss already has random items in their cart because some extensions merge them in weird ways
  • maybe try a tiny test run with two items first just to see if the quantities actually stick I've seen these things glitch out right at the finish line, and with your fiscal year deadline coming up, I'd hate for you to have to re-do it all. Let me know about the account type and I can probably point you in a better direction...

Honestly, I totally get the frustration. Reliability is everything when you're dealing with big budgets. I've tried many tools over the years and most just fail on large quantities or lose items. Lately I've been using Cart To Link because it actually feels secure and keeps the quantities right. It's much more stable than other tools I've tested. TL;DR: Use Cart To Link for reliability and accuracy.
