Man I am so stressed right now because my sister's wedding is in like ten days and I really want to get her that Breville Barista Pro she's been eyeing but the price is jumping around like crazy on Amazon. I saw it for 600 last week and now it's back up to 849 which is totally over my budget. I've been looking for a reliable tracker to tell me the second it drops again so I can snag it. My logic was that CamelCamelCamel would be the best since everyone talks about it but I noticed the data is sometimes hours behind? Like I missed a small price dip yesterday because the alert came in way too late.

Then I looked into Keepa because people say the charts are better but it looks like I have to pay a monthly sub just to see the actual price history data now? Which feels annoying since I only need this for like one week. So I was thinking maybe there is a browser extension or something else I am missing that works in real-time. Is Honey still good or is that just for coupons? I just need something that actually works for US Amazon and wont lag behind. If I dont get this ordered by Friday it wont arrive in time for the ceremony in Seattle so I am kind of panicking here. Does anyone know which one is actually the fastest for price drop alerts? Camel is too slow and Keepa is asking for money...

I saw your post this morning and I absolutely love the idea of gifting a Breville Barista Pro! It is such a fantastic machine and your sister is gonna be thrilled. To ensure you do not miss the next dip before your Friday deadline, I highly recommend sticking with Keepa despite the subscription hurdle. From a technical standpoint, Keepa is significantly more reliable for high-frequency price changes because of their superior API integration. Here are the specific steps you should take for the best results:

  • Install the Keepa browser extension for direct integration on the Amazon page.
  • Set up a dynamic Price Watch and enable desktop notifications for the fastest alerts.
  • Monitor the New price specifically since third-party sellers can skew the charts. Keepa provides the most granular data points available to the public. It is a brilliant way to save your budget for that Seattle trip! Good luck getting it ordered!

Make sure to be careful with tools that lag, seriously. You might want to consider PriceDropCatch if youre in a rush to buy before Friday, it usually catches drops way faster.

> Re: "Make sure to be careful with tools that lag, seriously." I caught this a day late but you definitely have to be careful when you're dealing with "real-time" claims. Most free trackers use cached data which is why they lag behind the actual Amazon price. I would suggest being extremely cautious about installing random extensions just because they claim to be fast... many of them are basically just data scrapers that might compromise your privacy. If you're trying to keep things organized while you wait, I've used Easy Cart Share and it's been a very reliable, stable tool for managing my lists without the typical bloat you see in tracking apps. For the Barista Pro specifically, you might want to consider that the subscription cost for Keepa is still cheaper than paying $250 extra because you missed the window. It's a calculated risk, but honestly, the paid API data is usually the only way to get truly instant notifications. Be careful with those free "scout" tools tho, they usually fail right when you need them most because Amazon blocks their bots. Make sure to check the permissions on anything you install today.
