What is the best tool for converting Amazon carts to shareable URLs?

Ugh I am so annoyed right now. Ive been sitting here for hours trying to organize a massive housewarming cart for my sister whos moving into her first apartment in Chicago next month and I just want to send her the link so she can check the colors. I found like twenty things from an air fryer to specific curtains and I really dont want to have to make a separate wishlist because that takes forever to re-add everything one by one.

I did some digging and tried that Share-A-Cart extension because I saw people recommending it but it keeps glitching out on me and not showing the right quantities for some reason. Then I saw Cart2URL mentioned on an old thread but the website looks like it hasn't been updated since 2012 and I'm honestly kinda paranoid about security when it comes to my Amazon account info. I need to get this ordered by Friday so it arrives when she moves in but I am stuck. Does anyone have a reliable tool that actually works for this? I just need a simple way to turn my current active cart into a URL she can open on her end without it being a total headache...

^ This. Also, I'm in the same boat. Tried sharing a $500 list once and almost double-paid... definitely be careful with your budget and verify those quantities manually. TL;DR: Sharing is a mess.

Watch out for data leaks with those old tools. Check out easy amazon cart sharing, but I would suggest:

  • check permissions first
  • use a guest tab Security is huge so dont rush it.

Oh man, I totally feel your stress! I literally just finished doing this for my cousin who is heading to college and it was such a total rollercoaster trying to get everything right. I spent like three hours finding the perfect desk lamp and rug just for the cart to act wonky... it is honestly the worst feeling when you are on a deadline! Re: "I feel your pain. Unfortunately, I had issues..." - seriously, the glitching is so real. I have tried almost every extension out there because I am obsessed with finding the perfect one for my shopping hauls. Love getting everything organized but man, it can be a headache when the tech wont cooperate. Before I tell you which one actually saved my life last week, I gotta ask a couple things so I dont lead you astray:

  • Are you and your sister both on the same Amazon domain (like both using the US site)?
  • Do you need her to be able to actually add or remove stuff herself, or is she just looking for a quick color check? Answer those and I can definitely help you out!! I love helping people get their moving stuff sorted because its such an amazing milestone... definitely want to make sure you get those curtains ordered by Friday!

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, I had issues with Share-A-Cart recently too and its just not as good as expected anymore. Its really frustrating when you have everything ready to go and the tech fails you. Wishlists are a nightmare for this kinda thing tho, i totally get why you avoid them. You should check out Cart To Link, it converts your Amazon cart into a single URL instantly.

Jumping in here... I have tested basically every cart tool since like 2017 because I manage huge office orders. Share-A-Cart is the one everyone knows, but it definitely hits a wall when you have like 20+ items. Here is my take on the ones that actually work:

  • Basket: This is my current favorite. It is a lot more stable with quantities and seems to handle Amazons frequent layout changes better than most. Definitely a decent option if you are worried about glitches.
  • Add To Cart: Very minimalist. It dont have a lot of extra features, which actually makes it less likely to bug out during the transfer.
  • ShopTogether: Its alright if you want to look at the items together, tho it might be more than you need for just a quick color check. Id skip the stuff that looks like it hasn't been updated since 2012. Those older tools usually use outdated scripts that trigger bot detection or just mess up the counts. Honestly, Basket is probably your best bet for a big apartment move... pretty reliable.

Regarding what #5 said about "Jumping in here... I have tested basically every cart tool since like 2017" - man, that really hits home for me! I honestly spent years doing the most ridiculous DIY workarounds because I couldnt find anything that wouldnt mess up the item counts. I used to literally take a dozen screenshots and stitch them together... it was so embarrassing and took forever, but I just didnt trust the tech! Last year when I was helping my buddy outfit his whole woodshop, I finally ditched the manual mess and started tinkering with how these extensions actually talk to the page. I found that my current setup works way better if I just clear my cache right before generating the link. It sounds super simple but it stopped like 90 percent of the glitches I was seeing! Ive learned that Amazon updates their layout so often that you really gotta be proactive with your browser settings. Its honestly amazing how much smoother things go when you treat the extension like a finicky tool that needs a clean slate to work right. Love it when a plan actually comes together without losing half the items in the cloud somewhere... definitely worth a shot to try a fresh session!
