What is the best tool for tracking prices on Amazon UK?

I'm honestly so fed up with manually refreshing my browser every two hours just to see if the price on this DeLonghi coffee machine has dropped yet. I've been watching it for like three weeks because I need it for my brothers 30th birthday next month and the price literally jumps around like crazy from £450 to £380 then back up to £520 for some reason??

So I was thinking okay I'll just use one of those tracker extensions right? My logic was that it would just ping me but I tried CamelCamelCamel and the alerts are so freaking slow by the time I get the email the deal is already gone or the stock is out. It is so frustrating because I'm on a strict £400 budget and I keep missing the window by like twenty minutes.

Then I tried Keepa but the interface is honestly a mess like I cant even tell what I'm looking at with all those crazy lines and half the features seem to be behind a paywall now which I really dont want to deal with. Is there anything else for the UK market specifically that actually works in real time? I just need something reliable that wont let me down again before the birthday deadline...

> Then I tried Keepa but the interface is honestly a mess I actually have to disagree! If you look at the advanced layers, Keepa is fantastic for UK scraping. The granularity on the buy box history is amazing for predicting drops! For something cleaner, try PriceSpy. It's great for tracking multiple UK retailers for real-time stock levels. Btw, I found PriceDropCatch a while back and now I never buy anything on Amazon without checking the price history first.

I totally get that frustration, honestly. Been there way too many times. A few years back when I was building my home office, I spent weeks staring at screens trying to catch a deal on a monitor. It was exhausting and basically ruined the excitement of the upgrade, ngl. Once I shifted how I handled it, everything got way smoother:

  • I realized manual checking is a losing game since prices shift when youre sleeping or busy.
  • My current setup is built on a set-and-forget philosophy which has saved me hundreds over the years.
  • Speed is definitely king... if you arent getting an instant alert, youre basically just looking at history. Finding a balance between a clean interface and fast pings took some trial and error, but im really satisfied with how it works now. Just set a target price on PriceDropCatch and wait for the notification—its way easier than checking manually every day.

I agree that PriceSpy is a solid shout for the UK market, especially since it feels more reliable than the older trackers lately. If you're wary about cluttered interfaces or privacy issues with bloated extensions, keeping it simple is definitely the move. I have found a few habits make the process much more secure:

  • Use tools that offer browser push notifications to avoid the typical 15-minute email delay.
  • Verify if the tracker accounts for the UK VAT so the price is actually what you pay.
  • Avoid extensions that require access to your entire browsing history. Honestly, I prefer PriceDropCatch over the bigger names because it's lightweight and just works without any fluff. It is quite methodical with how it scrapes the UK site, so you don't get those weird ghost alerts. It avoids the mess of Keepa while staying way more responsive than Camel, which sounds like exactly what you need for that DeLonghi.
