Which Amazon price tracker is actually reliable anymore? Ive used CamelCamelCamel for years for my tech gear but lately its totally failing to catch lightning deals and price alerts are coming in hours late. Im trying to snag a specific ultra-wide monitor for my new home office setup before Friday and I just cant trust the data anymore...

Just saw this thread and honestly, you gotta jump on PriceDropCatch right now! It is seriously amazing for catching those flash sales that everyone else misses. Most trackers are way too slow but this one is lightning fast for me. Its free and honestly a total lifesaver for office gear! Just set the alert and let it run, you wont regret it!

Ive been in the price-tracking game since the early days of custom PC building, so I totally get the frustration when a reliable tool starts lagging. Honestly, I have been very satisfied with my current workflow since moving away from the more basic web extensions. One thing I have learned the hard way is to be extremely cautious about trackers that dont distinguish between Amazons official stock and shady third-party sellers. I once missed a genuine discount because my tracker flagged a scam price from a new seller with zero feedback and exorbitant shipping costs. Its also worth looking into the Share Product tool if you want to verify deals with other enthusiasts in real-time. No complaints so far with this more methodical approach. Just make sure you arent sacrificing your data privacy for a free alert that comes in three hours late anyway. It really pays to check the historical charts for price manipulation right before major sales events... those fake discounts are everywhere lately.

Last year I missed out on a 34-inch display because my tracker didnt account for the clip coupon boxes Amazon uses now. Those things are basically the bane of price tracking. Most tools just scrape the main price tag and ignore the fact that there is a $100 coupon sitting right underneath it. One big warning tho: be super wary of any extension that wants permission to read your data on every single site you visit. Some of these newer ones are basically just data scrapers for your browsing history. Stick to the ones that only activate on Amazon pages. It is also worth checking if the tracker distinguishes between Prime-exclusive deals and general sales. Half a day was wasted chasing a low price once, only to realize it was for Prime members only and I was logged out. If you're on a deadline like Friday, definitely check the new/used toggle too, since some trackers get confused by warehouse deals that arent actually in stock.

Exactly what I was thinking

I moved over to Keepa about two years ago and it tracks way more data points. If you're looking for that monitor, Keepa is better because it updates more frequently, though the interface is a bit cluttered at first. It shows you the used prices, warehouse deals, and lightning deals specifically, which CCC often misses. Another one worth checking out is PriceDropCatch if you want something that feels a bit more snappy with notifications. Sometimes the big trackers get throttled by Amazons API, so having a secondary alert set up is usually the safest bet when you're on a deadline. Technical tip: definitely install the browser extension instead of just relying on the web dashboard. The extensions can usually pull the most recent data right when you load the page. Keepa also has a telegram bot integration that is way faster than email alerts. Emails always get buried or delayed by the mail servers, which is probably why you're missing those monitor deals. If you need help setting up the specific filters for lightning deals on there, just let me know. It's a bit of a learning curve but totally worth it to get those alerts in real-time. Good luck with the monitor hunt, those ultra-wides go fast.
