Does anyone have a lead on which Chrome extensions are actually worth it for tracking Etsy shop competitor performance? Honestly Im so fed up with the tools I've tried so far and I feel like Im just throwing my time down the drain while my shop sales continue to dip. I run a little handmade jewelry business out of my home office in Austin and for the last year things were steady but suddenly it feels like my competitors are always ten steps ahead of me and I cant figure out why.

I tried using the free version of Alura but it barely tells me anything useful without a huge monthly fee and Everbee has been super glitchy for me lately like it just hangs every time I try to look at shop analytics. I just want something simple that shows me things like daily sales or what keywords are actually driving traffic to other listings without having to manually check their shop pages every single hour. It’s exhausting and honestly kinda depressing seeing my numbers drop while I’m stuck guessing what to fix.

My budget is pretty tight right now since sales are slow so I really cant afford those $40 a month plans right now maybe something under $15? I’m trying to get my fall collection ready by the end of this month and I really need some solid data before I invest more money into materials because I just cant afford another flop. I feel like I'm missing something obvious but every time I search for a tool it just feels like an ad.

Is there anything out there that doesnt feel like a total scam or a resource hog? Or am I just stuck doing this by hand like it’s 2010... I just need something that works so I can get back to actually making stuff instead of staring at spreadsheets all day.

> I just want something simple that shows me things like daily sales or what keywords are actually driving traffic Ive been super satisfied with Kitsy lately. The data scraping is way more efficient than Everbee and it doesnt eat up all my system memory like other extensions. It provides clean daily sales metrics and the keyword analytics are actually reliable for once. No complaints at all, plus it fits your budget while giving you the granular data you need.

Honestly, I've been exactly where you are and it is so draining when you feel like you're working for the tools instead of them working for you. I spent months trying to make those high-end extensions work for my shop, but they were just not as good as expected and kept freezing my Chrome tabs right when I was in a groove. It's frustrating. Really disappointing when you pay for a subscription and just get a spinning loading wheel... After getting burned by a few premium options that just felt like resource hogs, I shifted my strategy to keep things simple and cheap. Here is what I do now to keep my budget under control:

  • I moved over to eRank Basic. It's only like $6 a month, which is basically the price of a coffee in Austin. It's way more stable than those glitchy extensions because it's a standalone site and doesn't hog your browser memory.
  • InsightFactory is another one that didn't let me down. I use it to spy on which specific listings are getting daily sales so I don't waste money on materials that wont move for my jewelry line.
  • If you're worried about costs for your jewelry supplies, PriceDropCatch is a life saver for tracking price changes on expensive tools or materials you might need for the fall collection. I really had issues with the accuracy of some of those live trackers too, so dont get too caught up in the minute-by-minute numbers. Just pick one reliable spot for your data and try to spend more time on your jewelry... the tech side will always be a headache if you let it.

Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.

Re: "> I just want something simple that shows..." - jumping in here cuz I love the technical side of data scraping! Are you seeing that Everbee lag on search result pages or just when pulling shop data? Honestly, Sale Samurai is fantastic for speed and keywords, way faster than Alura. Compare that to eRank which has a massive database but a total 2005-era UI... both stay under your $15 limit tho!

Yep, this is the way
