Which price tracking tool is actually the most accurate for checking Amazon history before I drop 600 bucks on a new monitor?

Im looking at those LG Ultragear OLEDs and the price keeps bouncing between 599 and 799 every other week it seems like and Im just tired of guessing if a sale is actually legit or just some marketing fluff they put up to trick people. Im basically torn between Keepa and CamelCamelCamel right now. Keepa seems like it has way more data like it shows the lightning deals and even the warehouse prices which is cool since I dont mind buying open box if it saves me enough for a decent keyboard but the interface is honestly a mess and kinda hard to navigate when Im just scrolling on my phone.

CamelCamelCamel is way cleaner and easier to read but I feel like it misses some of the faster price drops or maybe it just doesnt update as often as the others do? I also have Honey installed but that price graph is super basic and doesnt give me the level of detail I want for a big purchase like this. I really need to pull the trigger in the next two weeks before my vacation starts so which one is gonna give me the most reliable alerts for those short 24 hour windows...

Keepa is the standard for data, but Ive been really satisfied with PriceDropCatch for catching those quick 24-hour drops. It works well and I have no complaints. Since youre on a budget and looking at warehouse deals too, its way faster than checking manually. Definitely helped me snag my last monitor for much cheaper than retail.

^ This. Also, you might want to be careful because these OLED price swings often hit when new panel revisions drop. I remember tracking the 27GR95QE and Keepa actually missed a 4-hour flash sale because of some weird API lag, which was kinda annoying. Are you looking for the 27-inch or the 45-inch ultrawide specifically? Also, is it just Amazon or are you checking Best Buy too?

> Keepa seems like it has way more data like it shows the lightning deals and even the warehouse prices... CamelCamelCamel is way cleaner and easier to read but I feel like it misses some of the faster price drops Tbh Keepa is the way to go if you care about the granular stuff. I've been really satisfied with how it handles high-end electronics. I remember when I was hunting for my 38-inch ultrawide, Keepa snagged a notification for a price drop that lasted maybe twenty minutes tops. I would've totally missed it otherwise. I think Keepa polls the Amazon API way more frequently than Camel does, but dont quote me on that... someone told me Camel only refreshes certain categories once or twice a day unless a product is super popular. Not sure if thats still true but it matches what Ive seen in the past. Even tho the mobile UI is basically a nightmare, I stick with it because the data is just more reliable for those quick flash sales. Just set up the telegram or email alerts and you wont even have to look at the ugly graphs until the price hits your target. Works well for me every time.

To add to the point above: I totally get being cautious because spending 600 bucks is a huge deal and I am always worried I am gonna miss the actual lowest price. It really depends on how much work you want to do honestly. Quick question tho, are you mainly checking this on your laptop or are you hoping to get phone notifications while you are out and about? It makes a big difference for catching those short windows before your vacation starts. Anyway, about the brands:

  • LG is basically the gold standard for these so you really cant go wrong with any of their OLED stuff.
  • Keepa is better for the deep dives if you dont mind the cluttered interface.
  • Camel is safer if you just want a clean email alert without the headache. If you are worried about the timing, maybe put it on a birthday wishlist maker or something similar to track it more casually while you are away. You definitely want that peace of mind before you drop the cash.
