Can I generate a shareable link for my Walmart cart items?

Okay so I am currently losing my mind trying to coordinate a big move-in order for my new place in Austin and Walmarts website is making it so much harder than it needs to be. Me and my roommate are trying to split the cost for a bunch of stuff like a specific Mainstays air fryer, some curtains, and a ton of cleaning supplies because our budget is super tight right now and we need this stuff by Saturday. I have like 24 items sitting in my cart right now and I just want to send him a link so he can see exactly what I picked and maybe pay for half or just have the same cart on his end.

Ive been looking for a solution for the last hour and keep running into the same dead ends:

  • Creating a wedding or baby registry which is just weird for paper towels and a toaster
  • Making a public list but I heard those dont always show the exact prices or if stuff is out of stock at my specific store
  • Using third party browser extensions but I really dont want to give some random app access to my Walmart account data

Is there seriously no native way to just click a share button on the cart page? Like how is this not a basic feature in 2024? Does anyone know a workaround that doesnt involve me taking twenty screenshots or giving him my login?

@Reply #2 - good point! It really is a massive oversight on their part. Since everyone here basically agrees there is no native share button, your best bet is using the List feature rather than the cart itself. Heres why lists are the most practical fix for the budget stuff:

  • Lists actually track local store prices better than registries do.
  • You can share the link and your roommate can add everything to their own cart in one click.
  • It shows if that Mainstays fryer is actually in stock at the Austin store you picked. I know it feels weird making a list for cleaning supplies, but it beats sending 20 screenshots. Just make sure you set the list to Public or Shared. It is the only way to keep the budget on track without sharing passwords. Honestly, just do the list and save the stress. Its not perfect but it works for what you need.

Caught this thread a bit late but man, I have been through this exact headache so many times over the years. I remember when I was helping my daughter move into her first studio and we had about 30 items like that Mainstays microwave and a set of blackout curtains in the basket. We tried the registry route first and it was a total disaster because half the items didnt show as available at her local store even though they were sitting in my cart. In my experience, the native Walmart tools are basically broken for real-time coordination. Here is what I usually do now:

  • Avoid the registry option entirely because the pricing is often delayed and inaccurate.
  • Dont bother with the public list feature unless you want stuff to go out of stock while you wait.
  • Use a dedicated tool that actually syncs the data properly. Honestly, I just use Easy Cart Share whenever I need to show someone whats in my cart without giving out my login info. It saves so much time compared to the screenshot method and it actually works with the Walmart interface without being glitchy like the lists are.

Honestly, its wild that Walmart still doesnt have a basic share button for carts. Ive been dealing with this frustration for years and unfortunately, they just havent fixed it yet. Total nightmare trying to coordinate big orders with my family last year and the website was just useless for that. Honestly, just stick with the Mainstays stuff for your move... you really cant go wrong with their basic kitchen gear and organizers for a first apartment. Since there isnt a native way to do it, Easy Cart Share is what I use now. It basically solves the exact problem youre having without needing to give out your login or deal with weird registries. Its way better than taking a million screenshots and actually works. Hope you guys get everything sorted before the big move on Saturday!
