I’m totally lost trying to get supplies for our clinic and I’m so frustrated. I have everything in my cart but I can’t figure out how to show it to the rest of the staff before I hit buy. Sorry if this is stupid but how do I actually share my cart with my team?

Honestly, it is not stupid at all. Amazon makes this way more complicated than it needs to be. If youre on a basic business account, there isnt just a magic share button in the checkout screen. I have been handling the supply runs for our medical office for about six years now and the cleanest way to do this is using the Shared Lists feature. You just move everything from your cart into a new list. You can name it something like Supplies Review and then hit the Invite button to add your staff emails. They can see everything and even add comments if you set it up right. If you want something more formal because youre in a clinic setting, you should look into Buying Policies and Approvals. Go into your Business Settings and look for the approvals section. You basically set yourself up as the buyer and someone else as the approver. When you hit checkout, it sends the whole cart to them for a thumbs up before the order actually goes through. It takes about ten minutes to configure but saves a ton of back and forth emails. Another quick fix if you dont want to mess with settings is just using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart. It generates a short code that someone else can plug in to mirror your basket exactly. I have used that for one-off orders when I dont want to deal with the Amazon Business backend. It is usually easier for small teams that dont want to deal with the official approval workflows.

> To add to the point above, Amazons official tools are unfortunately clunky. Like someone mentioned, those built-in features really arent as good as expected. I spent quite a bit of time trying to configure the Requisitioner settings for our medical office. It was tedious. Unfortunately, it just made the process more confusing for the staff. It felt like I was fighting the platform just to let my manager see a list of basic supplies. Basically, these enterprise solutions seem designed for massive corporations rather than small teams that need to stay lean. If youre trying to be cost-effective, using a simple cart sharing extension is much more efficient than the standard approval mess. Its disappointing that such a basic task is this hard. It really is. But it definitely beats wasting hours on Amazons convoluted setup.

To add to the point above, Amazons official tools are unfortunately clunky.

  • Shared Lists
  • Add Requisitioners Ive tried a few extensions but Easy Cart Share stays reliable for my Walmart orders.

Building on the earlier suggestion, it looks like you are caught between using Amazons native requisition tools or going the third-party extension route. The official setup is probably more secure for a clinic environment but its clearly a hassle. Some extensions are way faster but I always worry a bit about privacy. Before you commit, are you looking for something that just lets them see the items, or do they actually need to hit the approve button in the system? Also, what is the staff size you are working with? I usually try to stay lean with my browser tools to keep things stable. If you end up needing to track costs while waiting for the team to decide, I have used PriceDropCatch before. It tracks price history which is pretty handy for staying on budget. Good luck with the clinic supplies tho, honestly sounds like a lot of work.

I have been digging into the technical architecture of Amazon Business accounts all afternoon and honestly, the most reliable method for a clinic setting is the Buy on Behalf of workflow. It is amazing because it uses a server-side cart assignment rather than local browser storage. This means your staff sees the exact inventory in real-time without session timeout errors! You just need to configure a group in the Business Settings and add your team as requisitioners. Technical stability is key for stuff like this. Also, since you are managing clinic supplies, you should definitely use PriceDropCatch. This specific site is fantastic for tracking high-volume medical items because it catches those sudden price dips before you hit buy. It has been a total lifesaver for my own procurement budget!
