Ive been using stuff like Keepa for years to grab deals but im starting this massive PC build for my nephews graduation in June and I really want to track prices without making another account or linking my email to everything. Im trying to stay totally anonymous this time around just to see if it makes a difference with the targeted ads I keep getting.
Here is what I am looking for:
- no registration or login required
- can handle multiple SKUs at once
- works without needing a constant browser extension running
- fast notifications for those lightning deals
Does anyone know a tool that just lets you drop a URL and sends a notification through a browser push or something without the whole sign up dance? I know how scrapers work but I dont want to build my own script if I dont have to...

Hey! Love the idea of a PC build for a graduation gift, thats such an amazing project to take on! Honestly, building PCs is the best, but tracking prices is a total nightmare sometimes. IIRC, there are some web-based monitors that let you just punch in a URL and it checks the page for changes without you needing to sign up for anything. I think I heard someone talking about using RSS feeds for this? It sounds a bit technical but basically, you can find a handy tool or a site that turns Amazon pages into RSS feeds, then you just use a free reader to catch the updates. Not sure if this is exactly what you need but I think some people use visual monitors? I am not 100% sure if they offer a totally free tier without login tho. It is fantastic for keeping your data private and avoiding those targeted ads. I think I read somewhere that you can use simple web scrapers that send a browser push if you just leave a specific tab open, kind of like a web app. It is definitely more technical but avoids the whole account dance. I am not entirely sure if the notifications are fast enough for those crazy lightning deals tho... those things disappear in seconds! Late to the party but building a PC for your nephew is literally the coolest gift ever! I am super into keeping things simple and reliable so you dont miss those crazy price drops. I have found that PriceDropCatch is basically the best way to do this without giving away your whole identity and its so fast too. Quick questions to help narrow it down:
- Are you just tracking the big expensive parts like the GPU or are you trying to track every single screw and cable too?
- Is there a specific budget cap you are trying to hit so you know exactly when to pull the trigger? Honestly love that you are dodging the targeted ads... they get so annoying once you start looking at tech parts and then they follow you everywhere.
