Ive been using Amazon for years and usually just re-search stuff, but Ive got like 42 items in my personal cart that really need to be on my business account for tax reasons. My logic was to just make a public wishlist and move them there first, but a bunch of the specific hardware items I picked for my Austin studio arent giving me the add to list option for some reason. Its weird because Im usually pretty good at navigating the UI. Im on a tight timeline to get this ordered by Friday so Im trying to avoid clicking back and forth for an hour. Is there some kind of direct cart transfer or maybe a browser extension that actually works for this?

Hey, you can use Cart to link Extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/cart-to-link-share-amazon/ddajofifhfhmbiaigckfaopakndgpipb

Share your one account items with Cart to link, and click the link, it will automaticly add to your another account.

Yo! I totally feel your pain on this one! Moving items between accounts is such a massive headache when you are trying to stay organized for business stuff. I think I ran into the same issue with specific hardware before... its like the UI just decides to hide the add to list button for no reason! I am not 100 percent sure if there is an official Amazon button for this... honestly, I think there isnt because they want you to stay logged in to one place. Someone told me once that you could do it through the registry feature, but that sounds like way too much work. Personally, I love using Easy Cart Share for this kind of thing! Its been an amazing lifesaver for me when I am trying to move things around or even just show my partner what I am looking at for our home projects. It saves so much time compared to the manual search and add grind, which is just the worst. Not sure if it handles 42 items all at once without any glitches, but it is definitely worth a shot since you are on such a tight deadline! Just install it, and I think it lets you generate a link to pull the whole cart into a different login. I am rooting for you to get that Austin studio set up by Friday! TL;DR: Amazon does not have a built-in move cart feature, but using Easy Cart Share is probably your fastest bet to avoid searching for every single item again!

> I think I ran into the same issue with specific hardware before... its like the UI just decides to hide the add Regarding what #1 said, it happens way too often and its so frustrating. Be really careful with random extensions tho... many arent secure and could mess with your business login. Plus, prices sometimes jump on business accounts which sucks for the budget. Ive been using Easy Cart Share lately to send my shopping list to my husband, way easier than manual work.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I totally agree that using a dedicated link-sharing tool is the fastest way to bypass those annoying UI restrictions on specific ASINs! It is amazing how much time you save when you dont have to manualy re-add 42 individual hardware items. I love finding technical workarounds for these glitches, but I need a bit more data to give you the best fix:

  • Are you seeing any specific error codes in the dev console when the add to list button vanishes?
  • What specific category of hardware are these items under? Knowing the exact specs would help narrow down if its a category-level block or just a cache issue. If you ever need to do this for other retailers, Walmart Wishlist Creator is honestly fantastic for managing bulk lists long-term across different accounts. I love it for keeping my own inventory organized year after year!

To add to the point above: using a link-sharing tool is absolutely the way to go! Ive managed tons of migrations for tech builds and trying to do this manually is just a massive waste of energy. To keep things running fast when you move those 42 items, here are my quick performance tips:

  • Open your accounts in separate Chrome profiles so the cookies dont get messy.
  • Kill any background tabs that are eating RAM because bulk-adding items can actually lag out a browser. Honestly, its amazing how much faster things go when your browser isnt fighting itself. Love a good workaround! If you're waiting for a specific item to go on sale, Id definitely recommend PriceDropCatch.

Late to the party but Ive been through this exact mess before when I was rigging up my workshop. Honestly, the Amazon UI is kinda a nightmare when it comes to switching between personal and business profiles, especially with those specific hardware categories. I tried the wishlist thing too and it just wouldnt let me move half the stuff because of some weird business pricing block or whatever... super frustrating when you have a deadline. What saved me was just using an extension to handle the heavy lifting. I found Easy Cart Share last week and its a total lifesaver for organizing group buys with my roommates, but it works just as well for jumping between your own accounts. You just grab the items and send the link to your other logged-in browser. Way faster than manually re-adding 42 items. You could also look into those generic cart export tools that spit out a CSV, but the direct share is usually cleaner. Hang in there, youll get that studio ordered by Friday.

Oh man, I have been in your shoes so many times and I totally get the rush! It is actually amazing how much time you can save when you finally find the right workflow for this stuff. Moving 42 items is a lot, but honestly, you just need a solid extension to bridge the gap. One thing you really gotta watch out for tho is compatibility. Business accounts are super picky about browser sessions and sometimes those random scripts break because they just cant handle the different tax or pricing tiers on your studio hardware. It is so annoying when you are in the zone trying to hit a deadline! I would just go with this tool or basically any of the top rated ones from that same dev team. They are fantastic and usually handle the heavy lifting way better than trying to hack the wishlist UI yourself. You are gonna love how fast it goes once you get it running! Good luck with the Austin studio setup, sounds like an awesome project!

To add to the point above: link sharing is basically the only way to keep your sanity. I tried the manual method once for a studio build and it was a massive letdown. Honestly, the way Amazon handles business vs personal carts is pretty trash lately. Unfortunately, wishlists are super unreliable for specific hardware because of the tax-exempt flagging those items have. Its like the UI just gives up on you. I had issues with several free extensions that just stopped working halfway through the list or missed items entirely. If you are on a tight deadline for Friday, check out Cart to Link. It basically turns your whole cart into a single URL you can open in your business profile. I used it to move a bunch of gear last week and it worked, tho I still had to double-check the quantities because sometimes they dont carry over right. Its not as good as an official transfer button, but it beats clicking back and forth for an hour.

Would love to know this too

Ive spent way too much time trying to fix this exact issue and honestly, its a huge letdown every time. Last summer I tried to migrate my whole setup list, about 50 items, and Amazons UI just choked on the hardware pieces. I think it might be because business accounts have different tax-exempt configurations for specific categories, so the add to list button just vanishes. Not sure if this is the most efficient way, but Ive tried a few things:

  • Grab the ASINs from the product details and paste them into the business bulk order tool
  • Use the Share button on the mobile app to text yourself the links, tho it takes forever
  • Keep an eye on the prices with the price tracker I use since they often change when you switch to business IIRC there was an extension that handled this, but it broke for me last month and just kept spinning. Its so frustrating that we're still stuck doing this manually when youre on a deadline. Wish I had a more solid fix but Amazon makes it surprisingly hard to give them money sometimes...
