How can I send my Amazon cart contents to someone else?

Ugh I am literally pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. My grandmother is having surgery down in Florida next week and I spent like two hours picking out all these recovery supplies and groceries for her on Amazon but now I realize there is no easy way to just send her the damn cart. I looked it up and everyone says just make a wish list but that is so clunky because then she has to add every single item one by one to her own cart and she is 85 years old she is not gonna do that. Then I saw some Chrome extension called Share-A-Cart but I dont really trust third party apps with my account info and I definitely dont want her having to install plugins. I just want a link or a button that says here is my cart, take it so she can pay with her Prime account or I can just hand it over. It is about $250 worth of stuff and I need to get this sorted by Sunday so the delivery gets there before her procedure on Tuesday. Is there any official way to do this without jumping through ten hoops or using some sketchy browser extension? I feel like this should be a basic feature by now...

Over the years, I've tried many workarounds, but Amazon still lacks a native share cart button. In my experience, the most reliable way to avoid rebuilding the whole list is using this tool for sharing carts.

  • Generates a unique code
  • No account access required
  • Works across different accounts Wishlists are a total nightmare for seniors, honestly. Using a simple code-based transfer is the gold standard for moving carts fast... its way easier.

Wait, quick question before you do anything--did you check if those items have any extra heavy-item shipping fees for Florida? Sometimes those recovery supplies get flagged. Like someone mentioned, their regional handling is a mess. I am usually pretty satisfied if I can just find a way to skip those extra costs. Reminds me of when i was planning a trip to Miami and spent way too long trying to find a grocery store that didnt have tourist prices. Finding this tiny place inland that sold massive packs of bottled water for like three dollars was a total win. Feeling so smug driving to the beach with my cheap cooler--which still works well with no complaints by the way--and snacks while everyone else was paying ten bucks for a Gatorade is still a highlight of that year. Best feeling ever when you beat the system like that. anyway lol sorry i kinda went off on a tangent there

honestly it is super disappointing that amazon still hasn't made this a native feature. you would think for a multi-billion dollar company they'd have a share button by now but nope. i have had so many issues trying to help my own folks with this and it usually ends in frustration because their session handling is so locked down. really want to help you get this sorted before sunday tho. are you and your grandmother both using the same regional site (like both .com)? regional mismatches are usually what kills these sharing methods and i want to make sure we aren't fighting that too. quick tip: if you really want to avoid extensions, try setting it up as a registry instead of a wishlist. registries sometimes have a slightly better layout for bulk buying, but it is still kinda clunky for a senior to navigate. tbh most of us just use Share-A-Cart because it just sends a code and doesn't actually touch your password or private data, which is way safer than it sounds. lmk about the region and i will see what else i can find for you.
