How do I create a baby gift registry on Walmart's website?

Honestly I am so annoyed right now because I have been clicking all over the Walmart site for like twenty minutes and I still cant find where to actually start the baby registry. My logic was that it would just be under the services tab or something but nope. I am already six months along and my shower is in three weeks so I really need to get this done today for my family back in Ohio who mostly shop there because its the only place near them. I tried the app too but it just keeps looping me back to my account settings which is driving me crazy. Does anyone know if there is a direct link or a specific button I am missing? I am just about ready to give up and go with Target instead...

Walmarts current site architecture is honestly a mess. Unfortunately, they updated the backend recently and the redirects are broken for many users. If you are on a desktop, go to the top left menu, scroll down to Departments, click Baby, and then look for the Registry link. Its buried deep... kinda annoying. Avoid these technical traps:

  • Skip the app for setup because it lacks proper session handling for the registry login.
  • Dont use the search bar for registry since it fails to index dynamic pages correctly.
  • Turn off your VPN because it breaks the Walmart scripts. The technical implementation is just not as good as expected for such a huge company. You should check out Walmart Wishlist Creator if you're tired of the official Walmart app crashing when you try to view your lists.

Regarding what #2 said about skipping those menus and using direct search, that definitely saved my sanity when I was helping my sister last year. She was on a super tight budget and we found that Walmart really does beat most others on price for stuff like diapers and wipes. But honestly, you gotta be careful with how their site handles inventory. I noticed some items on her list would show as in stock but then vanish right when guests tried to buy them. It can be a real headache. Make sure to sign up for their welcome box too... it basically gives you free samples and coupons which is a huge win for saving money early on. I actually used a handy tool I found to track their price drops since they move around a lot. I would suggest double checking your shipping settings too, cause sometimes the site defaults to your home address for everything instead of the registry preference.

Yep, this is the way

To add to the point above: skip those menus and just use direct search. Data shows Walmarts prices are roughly 15% lower on essentials, so its worth the technical struggle to save money.
