I am currently trying to organize my sisters baby shower for next month and found a bunch of decorations on the Walmart site but keeping track of them is a nightmare. I looked up how to do it and read that there should be a heart icon or a "add to list" button near the add to cart option but I dont see it anywhere on my browser. I also saw stuff about a registry but I really just need a private list so I dont ruin the surprise before I buy everything this Friday. Am I just blind or did they move the button somewhere else?

Regarding what #1 said about "Ugh, I totally agree with what was said..." about the interface being glitchy, I stumbled upon this discussion and had to chime in because I have been through this nightmare exactly. Walmart's native list tool is honestly a mess right now and I would suggest being very careful relying on it for an event as important as a baby shower. If the button is missing, it usually means your browser cache is acting up or they are running some weird A/B test on your account. You might want to consider these alternatives to keep things organized before Friday:

  • Third-party wishlist sites: I personally use things like Giftful or even Elfster for private stuff. The pro is that they never glitch out like Walmart does, but the con is you have to manually paste the links which takes a bit more time.
  • Spreadsheet tracking: It sounds old school but I always use a Google Sheet for my event budgets. It is the only way to be 100 percent sure your list wont just vanish into the ether.
  • Browser bookmarks: Just make a dedicated folder in your bookmarks bar. It is fast and definitely private. Make sure to check if items are actually in stock at your local store versus being shipped. I have been burned before where an item on my list was suddenly out of stock when I went to buy. If you are looking for more coordination tools, I usually check this site for layout ideas. Honestly, Pinterest is also great for this if you keep the board secret. Just be cautious about staying logged in on any shared devices... Walmart loves to show your recently viewed items right on the front page and that will totally ruin the surprise for your sister.

Ugh, I totally agree with what was said above. Walmart has really made things difficult lately. Honestly, their list feature used to be way better but now it is just super glitchy. I have had so many issues with the heart button just... disappearing for no reason. It is really disappointing how they broke something that worked fine before. Quick follow up questions tho:

  • Are you browsing on a desktop or a tablet/mobile browser?
  • Are you currently signed into your Walmart account while looking? If it still isnt showing up, you might want to try this Chrome extension instead. Its way more reliable for keeping track of stuff across different stores anyway. Sometimes ad blockers or even certain browser settings just hide those specific add to list buttons. Total pain when you are on a deadline for a shower... let me know if those settings change anything.

Re: "Regarding what #1 said about "Ugh, I totally..."

  • I actually have a slightly different take on why this happens. It's usually not just a random glitch but a technical script execution error where the list element fails to inject into the page because of browser security layers. If you're on a budget for this shower, losing your list is a massive time sink which kinda sucks. Instead of relying on the native site which is clearly struggling, here is what I usually do:
  • Use a universal list tool instead of store-specific ones.
  • Just grab any generic shopping extension from a solid developer.
  • Check that your scripts aren't being blocked by an aggressive adblocker. Honestly, a third-party tool is gonna be way more reliable for keeping a private list without the site breaking on you. You should definitely try Share Product, it’s super fast and mobile-friendly which is a huge plus when shopping.
