So I've been using the Walmart app for like ever, usually I just hit that little heart icon and boom it is in my registry or list no problem. But I am on my Macbook right now using Safari because I am planning this massive housewarming party for our new place in Orlando next month—budget is around $500 so I really gotta stay organized with the decor and snacks. I am browsing all these cute patio sets and kitchen gadgets on the Walmart site in Safari and for some reason the heart icon is just not showing up where it usually does? Or it keeps asking me to sign in even though I am clearly logged into my account in the other tab, so annoying. My logic was that I could just use the Safari share sheet on my phone or maybe there was some kind of browser extension for the desktop version but I am looking everywhere and it is not clicking. I even tried right clicking the image to see if there was a save to list option in the context menu. Am I missing a setting or something? I am super hyped to get these items saved before they sell out but I dont want to keep jumping back and forth between the app and the browser. Is there a trick to syncing the Safari session so the wishlist button actually shows up on the product page or do I need to do some weird workaround with the URL?
Saw this earlier but just getting back to it. Honestly, I kinda disagree with messing with Safari settings because the browser is just picky and usually breaks again anyway. It is way better to use a dedicated tool instead of fighting the site heart icon when it is being glitchy... Are you mostly looking for the larger patio furniture or are you trying to track a bunch of small decor pieces? Also, is that 500 dollar budget for the whole party or just the Walmart haul? Knowing the item volume helps.
To add to the point above: make sure to check those Safari cookie settings. Honestly, I'd suggest using Honey for lists, just be careful about giving it too much access tho.
Honestly, those session sync errors in Safari are common because of how the browser handles cross-site tracking. It sounds like a session conflict between your mobile login and the desktop site. To keep things secure, I've used a couple of reliable methods that worked for me during my own house projects.
Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
