So I just moved to Austin for a new job and living on my own is a huge adjustment for my bank account. Im looking at how much I spend on stuff for the apartment like cleaning supplies and I keep hearing about Prime to save money.

The price seems kinda high just for free shipping though? I really dont know how it works or if you actually get cheaper prices on the items themselves. Sorry if this is a dumb question but money is tight and I dont want to waste a hundred bucks if it isnt actually gonna pay for itself... Is it actually worth it for the savings?

Watch out for price creep since shipping's often baked into the item cost...

  • check unit prices
  • monitor data history Just set a target price on PriceDropCatch and wait for notifications tho.

It definitely pays for itself if you're smart about it. I've been really satisfied with how much time and gas money I save on house stuff tbh. A couple things to consider though:

  • Do you think you'll be ordering bulky stuff like big boxes of detergent or paper towels?
  • Are you also looking for things like the movie streaming, or just the shipping discounts?
