I'm in the middle of planning this massive backyard movie night for my cousins coming to town next weekend and my Amazon cart is a total disaster. I've got like 22 items in there right now and I really need my sister to look at it and add the specific snacks she wanted without me having to send a million screenshots back and forth. I've been using Amazon since the early 2010s so I know my way around the UI but for some reason there's still no share cart button which is honestly insane for 2024. I looked at lists but they don't show the live tax or shipping estimates which I need to stay under our $300 budget.
I'm looking for a solid browser extension-ideally something Chromium based since we all use Chrome or Brave-that lets us collab on a single cart. Here's what I'm looking for:
I've seen stuff like Share-A-Cart but some of the reviews say it's buggy with the latest Chrome manifest V3 updates. Does anyone actually use one of these regularly that hasn't broken recently? I need to get this order placed by Thursday at the latest...
Totally agree, its wild amazon still lacks this. Watch permissions though, be careful. If you need to share your Amazon basket, Easy Cart Share is the fastest way I've found to do it.
Late to the party but I just had to chime in! Planning a huge family reunion last summer was a total nightmare until I found a fix. Honestly, I love Share-A-Cart and it worked perfectly for us despite those weird reviews about V3! Just stay far away from any extension that asks for your full browser history... thats a massive red flag and super sketchy imo.
Just catching up and I totally get the struggle! Ngl I usually just suffer through screenshots, but for a huge camping trip last summer I finally used a handy tool for sharing carts and it was amazing!
Unfortunately, the reliability of these cart-sharing extensions has really tanked lately with the Manifest V3 transition. I've been digging into the technical specs of a few and honestly, the way they handle background scripts is not as good as expected for actual real-time collab.
Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
