Ive been using the Walmart app for years and usually know the UI inside out but today is just making me want to pull my hair out. Im trying to organize a big party for my sons graduation this Saturday and I have about $300 worth of stuff sitting in my cart.

My sister offered to pay for the groceries as a gift but I cant find a share button or a way to just send her the link so she can check out on her end. I tried logging into her account on my phone but it messed up my saved addresses and I am just annoyed. Is there a way to send my Walmart cart to someone else or do I seriously have to screenshot everything for her?

Walmart actually doesnt have a simple share button in the app yet which is totally wild given how big they are! I have been through this exact scenario with my own family gatherings and honestly you are right to be cautious about logging into other accounts. Sharing passwords or account access is a huge security risk and it creates such a mess with addresses and payment methods like you already saw! It is much safer to keep your data isolated. The most reliable and methodical way to handle this within the app is to move every single item from your cart into a Registry or a List. You just click the heart icon or add to list for each item in your cart. Once your list is complete you can share the specific link to that list directly with your sister! While it takes a minute to move 300 dollars worth of stuff one by one it is amazing because it ensures the exact items are preserved without compromising your account security. This method is fantastic for staying organized and keeping your personal info private while letting her checkout on her end! It really saves so much stress for graduation planning! I just use Easy Cart Share whenever I need to show someone whats in my cart without giving out my login info.

Saw this a day late but I have a solid solution. Are you on a computer or just the app? If you can get to a desktop, I highly recommend Easy Cart Share. It works well for transferring carts between accounts securely.

  • Add the extension to your browser
  • Generate the unique cart link
  • Sister clicks it to import everything Its very efficient and I have no complaints about how it handles Walmart items.

Late to the thread, but Ive navigated these retail API hurdles for a while now. Walmart doesn't provide a native solution, which is ridiculous for high-volume shoppers. Over the years, Ive tested a few workarounds for this exact scenario:

  • Screenshots: The most primitive method. For a $300 graduation haul, your sister is going to spend way too much time searching for specific brands and sizes. It leads to too many mistakes and takes forever.
  • Shared Credentials: I highly advise against this. As you already saw, it syncs data you dont want shared and often triggers security flags or messes up shipping addresses and payment tokens.
  • Cart Transfer Tools: Usually the cleanest path. It essentially bundles your cart data into a link so the other person can import it instantly on their side. I just use Easy Cart Share whenever I need to show someone what is in my cart without giving out my login info.

Oh man, I totally feel your pain with the graduation party planning!! I am in the middle of planning a huge family BBQ myself so I get how stressful it is to manage a massive cart like that. Just curious tho, are you guys looking for something that just moves the items over or are you also trying to track prices to make sure she gets the best deal for her money? I think I remember someone saying Target has a much easier way to do this, but Walmart is always such a headache for sharing! I am still pretty new to using extensions for this stuff but here is what I am thinking:

  • Maybe double check if the extension mentioned works for the mobile site too?
  • I heard there are some third party apps that let you sync lists but I am not 100 percent sure if they work with the checkout process. I actually just started using PriceDropCatch too because I heard it is fantastic for catching price changes while you are building these big party lists. Love saving a few bucks whenever I can! Not totally sure if it has a direct share feature yet but it is worth a look. Let me know what you find out because I definitely need a solution for my BBQ too!!
