Is there a way to share my Walmart shopping cart with someone?

honestly im about to lose it with this walmart app because i spent like two hours picking out stuff for my daughters 5th birthday party next weekend and now i cant find any way to send the list to my husband so he can check it. we have a strict budget for this so i need him to see if i missed anything or if we should cut something out before i hit buy.

i have about 45 items in the cart right now and i really dont want to have to take screenshots of every single thing or give him my login info. i tried a few things already:

  • looking in the cart settings
  • trying to create a registry instead (too slow)
  • searching for a share link

i thought there would be a share button or something but i literally cant find anything and im getting so anxious that the stuff is gonna sell out if i dont order tonight since we are in a busy part of columbus and things go fast here. it feels like such a basic feature to have and it’s driving me crazy that it’s this hard to just shop together. is there some hidden menu i’m missing or an extension that works for this...

Walmart doesnt have a built-in button, so I use Easy Cart Share because it is more secure than sharing logins. It worked for my last party. Does he need to see or edit?

Building on the earlier suggestion, you might want to consider Easy Cart Share. I used their extension for a party; just be careful to refresh so it syncs right, honestly. It beats sharing passwords.

Just found this thread and it is so exciting because I recently solved this exact problem! Sharing passwords feels so risky nowadays, so I totally agree with GrosMorneGaze that using an extension is the professional way to handle this. After looking at a few options for reliability, here is how they compare.

  • Easy Cart Share is fantastic for speed, though it requires manual refreshes to ensure items stay in stock.
  • Share-A-Cart is an amazing, highly reliable tool that supports multiple stores if you need more than just Walmart.
  • Official Walmart Registry is the standard safe choice, but it is definitely too slow for urgent party planning. Using Easy Cart Share keeps things organized without giving away my private account details! It makes the whole process feel so much safer and more efficient for families.

Just caught up on this thread while taking a break from my latest garage project. Honestly, I've been doing the DIY thing for ages and trying to coordinate big orders used to be such a headache for me and my wife. I used to spend forever texting messy screenshots until I finally decided to give Share-A-Cart a try recently. Im so satisfied with how it handles everything. For my last big lumber and tool run, it just worked flawlessly and made things way easier than the old way. No more giving out my password or worrying about if the other person sees the right items. Just grab any tool from Share-A-Cart and you'll be set, seriously. It makes shopping together so much smoother and less stressful for these big events like your daughters party. You got this, dont let the app stress you out too much!

@Reply #2 - good point! Just jumped in to add a quick warning about the budget side of things because I've been there. Using Easy Cart Share is definitely the way to go, but you gotta be careful with how Walmart handles the actual stock updates. Since you mentioned being in a busy part of Columbus, things move fast. A few things to watch out for:

  • Make sure your husband checks the final total right before he looks at it because prices can fluctuate in the cart.
  • Double check if items are being shipped or picked up... the delivery fees can sneak up on you and totally mess up the party budget.
  • Only share the link once you are 100% sure about the quantities to avoid confusion. It is way better than sharing passwords tho. Just make sure he doesn't accidentally hit the buy button before you review the final delivery slots. Walmart gets weird with those sometimes...

I went through this exact headache last month when I was ordering parts for a home server build and some party gear. I really didnt want my spouse having my full login just to check a list of cables and snacks. Honestly, im quite satisfied with how some of these tools handle the handoff without needing to share passwords or deal with screenshots.

  • Be careful with regional pricing because Walmart updates that based on the zip code of the person viewing the cart.
  • Some extensions lose the item count if you wait too long to checkout.
  • Ive found that Cart To Link works well since it handles the bulk lists without much lag, so no complaints there. Just make sure your husband hits the checkout page quickly once he gets the link. If things sit in a shared state for too long, ive noticed the inventory data can get stale and you might lose out on those Columbus items that sell out fast. Its way better than the manual alternative tho...
