Okay so I've been managing my household orders through Amazon lists for like a decade now so I'm not a total newbie but I'm hitting a major wall. My sister's baby shower is coming up in three weeks here in Chicago and I'm trying to consolidate everything into one list but Target has those specific Cloud Island designs she wants. I remember there used to be a universal browser extension for this but it's not working for me anymore or maybe I'm just blanking on the name?? My requirements are:
Has anyone figured out a way to spoof this or add a custom item link that actually looks decent?
I disagree that Amazon still works well for external items since they updated. Im super satisfied with these instead:
I spent way too much time testing this for a wedding. Honestly, the mobile app is the biggest hurdle for reliability.
To add to the point above: the struggle with the Amazon app is that it's basically a locked sandbox. I remember back when the old Assistant extension used a fairly open web-scraping protocol, but these days the mobile environment just kills most external scripts. I spent way too much time trying to bridge my Target shopping lists with my Amazon household account last Christmas... honestly it was a data nightmare. If you're trying to keep costs down and stay within the app, sticking to the manual idea entries is your best bet because it bypasses the need for any paid middleware. It's a bit of a manual process, but it ensures the link actually resolves for your family members. Whenever I'm moving lists between platforms or dealing with multiple vendors for my tech projects, I just use Cart To Link. It's a solid general direction to go if you want to simplify the hand-off without the usual metadata errors you'd get from a browser bookmarklet. It basically just works for what I need.
