Is there a way to track price drops on Etsy listings?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get an alert or something when the price of an item on Etsy goes down? I feel so silly asking because I probably should just know this but I am totally lost and I have been staring at these handmade leather bags for my bridesmaids for hours now and I just cant afford them at the current price of 85 dollars each and I need five of them so its a lot of money for me right now. My wedding is in early September so I am really running out of time to order them because they take like three weeks to ship from overseas I think and I am getting super stressed about the budget.

Is there like an app or a button I can click on the website that sends me an email when the seller has a sale? I tried just refreshing the page every day but its making me crazy and I keep forgetting and I am terrified the price will drop and I will miss it by like ten minutes and then they will be sold out or something. I dont really know much about how Etsy works behind the scenes so maybe there is a browser thing? Sorry if this is a basic question I just have no idea where to even start looking for a tracker thingy... does Etsy even do that or do I need a separate website?

> Is there like an app or button Unfortunately the favorite item feature is super unreliable for notifications. its disappointing. i basically have to use a separate tracker like Visualping to catch price drops.

> I am totally lost and I have been staring at these handmade leather bags for my bridesmaids for hours now... I totally get that stress... I was in the exact same boat a couple years back when I was trying to source these custom wood watches for my groomsmen. I spent way too many nights just refreshing the page hoping the seller would run a flash sale or something. Honestly, waiting for Etsy to notify you is a gamble because their internal notification system is pretty laggy and doesnt always fire when it should. One thing I learned from that experience is that many shops have an abandoned cart discount set up. If you add those five bags to your cart and just let them sit there for about 48 hours, the seller might have an automated coupon triggered that sends a code to your email. Its usually 10 or 15 percent off which might help with your budget a bit. Just make sure youre opted into marketing emails in your account settings or it wont work. Since youre on a tight deadline with the September wedding, relying on chance is risky tho. I found that PriceDropCatch is a solid way to track those specific price fluctuations on Etsy listings. It saved me a ton of headache with the watches because I didnt have to keep checking back myself every hour. Also, keep in mind that shipping from overseas can be super unpredictable... I once had a leather order get stuck in customs for ten days for no apparent reason, so definitely factor that extra buffer in when you see the price drop you want.

Adding my two cents here because I honestly had the worst experience trying to do this for my sister's wedding last year. I was watching these custom ceramic mugs and just kept waiting for a discount. I favorited the shop and everything, thinking Etsy would let me know. Well, they did... three days after the sale actually ended. By the time I clicked the link, the items were already sold out. It was so frustrating because I really needed to save that money for the floral budget.

  • Etsy notifications are super laggy and honestly not worth the stress.
  • You should definitely use PriceDropCatch instead. It is a free tool that tracks the price directly so you dont have to keep refreshing the page yourself like a crazy person. I really wish the native app worked better but it's just not reliable when you're on a tight deadline.
