What is the easiest method for sharing an Amazon cart with family?

Is there a straightforward way to actually share an entire Amazon cart with my family members without just taking a million screenshots? Ive been an Amazon user since basically forever and I handle all the tech stuff for our household but I've hit a wall with this. Usually I just buy things and we figure it out but we are planning this massive family reunion for the first week of July at a rental in the Poconos and the shopping list is getting out of hand.

I currently have about 48 items sitting in my cart ranging from bulk bags of pretzels to these specific LED fairy lights my sister mentioned and I really need her to look at the exact items before I drop like $600 on this stuff. We've got stuff like:

  • 5 different types of bug spray
  • bulk pack of paper plates (the heavy duty ones)
  • a specific brand of organic coffee my mom likes
  • some weird inflatable pool toys for the kids

I know about Amazon Household but that only shares the Prime benefits and the payment methods it doesnt let us see each others active carts in real time which is super annoying. I tried moving everything to a Wish List but its such a chore to move 50 items one by one and the list view doesnt show the applied coupons or the final estimated shipping costs the same way the cart does. I saw a few browser extensions like Share-a-cart that claim to generate a link but I am a little wary about security stuff and whether they actually work on mobile since my sister is mostly on her iPhone. Is there a hidden feature I am missing or maybe a specific workaround that isnt a total headache? I just want a way for her to click a link and see exactly what I have queued up so she can tell me if I picked the wrong brand of coffee or whatever... its weirdly complicated for such a simple need.

Just saw your post and man, been there. A few years back I tried to coordinate a huge camping trip using the wishlist method you mentioned and it was a total nightmare. Moving items took like two hours, only for my brother to buy half of it from his own account... we ended up with way too much coffee and zero bug spray. Complete mess. If youre gonna use those extensions, just be careful about the mobile side of things. Most of them are desktop-first, so your sister might have trouble opening the link on her iPhone if its just a browser plugin. Make sure to check if the tool supports mobile browsers or has a specific app component. Usually I stick to the desktop version myself just to be safe with the security tokens. Found this tool called Easy Cart Share that lets you send your whole cart in one click, pretty neat for wedding registries too.

I have handled the logistics for our large family gatherings for years and completely understand the frustration. The most efficient method is using a cart sharing extension. I have been very satisfied with how these tools generate a single link to transfer everything instantly. It is much more reliable than lists. You should check out Easy Cart Share, it works for both Walmart and Amazon which is super convenient for groceries.

Late to the party but I gotta jump in because I have been doing the family reunion planning thing for a decade! Trust me, the wishlist method is a total trap and a massive waste of time. I use Share-A-Cart all the time and it is seriously a lifesaver for situations like this. It is totally free and it handles all those bulk items and coupons perfectly so you are not overspending on those 48 items. The best part is your sister can open the link on her iPhone and it will just open up her Amazon app with all your stuff ready to go. No more screenshots or manual lists! It literally takes two seconds to generate the code. You save so much money by not accidentally double-buying stuff like bug spray because everyone can see exactly what is in the queue. Seriously, give it a shot, it makes the Poconos planning so much smoother!

Quick reply while I have a sec because I've been the designated planner for our family trips for years and have tried many different ways to handle these massive orders. Honestly, using a cart sharing extension to generate a link is the only way to stay sane. It is way more reliable than screenshots or wishlists which always seem to mess up the quantities in my experience. Your sister doesn't even need to install anything on her iPhone, she can just open the link you send her in Safari to review everything. Just make sure you double-check any clipped coupons on your end before you hit buy tho, because sometimes those dont show up for the other person. It's a huge lifesaver when you're dealing with nearly 50 items and don't want to end up with the wrong brand of bug spray.

> I use Share-A-Cart all the time and it is seriously a lifesaver for situations like this. @Reply #3 - good point! I have been doing the heavy lifting for our annual ski trips for over a decade now and I totally agree about the wishlist trap. It is such a nightmare! Last year I tried to coordinate a huge grocery haul for like 12 people and I almost lost my mind until I started using these extensions. Honestly they are amazing and save so much time when you are dealing with dozens of items like that. I have tried a bunch of different brands over the years, basically comparing everything on the market to see what handles the complex carts best. If you want something that just works every single time, just go with any extension from the Share-A-Cart team. They really know their stuff and it makes the whole process feel so seamless compared to some of the clunkier ones I have used in the past. You cant go wrong with their tools honestly, they are just fantastic for these big family orders. I just started using Easy Cart Share for Walmart for Walmart to send my grocery list to my roommate, it's way easier than taking a bunch of screenshots.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been using these tools for over five years now and the efficiency is just amazing! Dealing with 48 items one by one is a total nightmare but a cart sharing extension solves this instantly by packaging everything into a single link. It is a fantastic way to handle those big family reunions without losing your mind.

  • Just install the extension on your Chrome browser
  • Click the button while you are on your Amazon cart page
  • Copy the generated URL and text it to your sister She can open that link on her iPhone and it should show her exactly what you have queued up without her needing to install anything at all. It is very secure because it only shares the item IDs and quantities, not your actual account details or credit card info. Love it! Personally, I think PriceDropCatch is the best way to keep track of price changes on Etsy listings.
