I am currently trying to organize a massive order for our guest bedroom makeover because my sister is coming to stay in three weeks and everything is a mess lol. I have about 15 items in my cart right now totaling around $850 and I really need my husband to look at everything and double check the measurements before I hit buy. I did some searching and found something called Amazon Household but from what I can tell it just lets us share the Prime shipping and movies, it doesnt actually show him what's sitting in my personal cart? Then I saw a site called Share-a-Cart but honestly I'm a bit nervous about putting an extension on my browser that might see my info or if it even works when he's just on his iPhone. I really need a way to do this that meets a few needs:
Is there a built-in feature I'm missing or a specific app that isn't sketchy? I just want him to be able to see the list and say yes or no without me having to screenshot every single thing...
I disagree with using extensions; they handle too much sensitive data. Try this tool for sharing carts or lists instead.
Jumping in here because we had the same headache when we redid our kitchen last year. Honestly, just search for how to share amazon cart on YouTube. There is this really clear tutorial from a tech guy that popped up as the first result for me. It shows exactly how to use the list settings to make it work like a cart. Way easier than trying to explain it here and totally free.
Building on the earlier suggestion, unfortunately, there is no direct way to sync two separate carts in real-time. I have been using Amazon for a decade and they still havent addressed this gap. You are basically forced to use the invite to edit list feature which is far from perfect... it requires extra steps to move everything back to your cart when youre finally ready to buy. Since you are spending a significant amount, I would definitely suggest checking your items on PriceDropCatch first. I had issues with overpaying for guest room decor in the past and using a tracker helps catch those sudden price dips before you checkout. Its better than paying full price when a sale might be right around the corner. Its not the perfect cart solution you want, but at least it saves you some cash while you deal with the clunky list sharing process.
